I've been looking into putting my own darkroom together and I bought a used darkroom timer recently. The second hand on the timer didn't stop at the correct place(it stopped at about 55 instead of 0), but all it took to fix it was unscrewing a single screw and adjusting the hand slightly. Darkroom timers are neat, while the timer is running it supplies power to whatever is plugged into it and automatically shuts off once it reaches 0.

I probably shouldn't have gone on a hike alone at 1am haha

I heard unsettling noises and got kind of freaked out. It was quiet for the first twenty or so minutes, but I started hearing a huffing sound every few seconds, not that far from me. It was probably just a deer, but that thought was not exactly comforting since I couldn't see the thing.

I did get a recording of the sound, but it's too hard to hear.

I just finished MGS(1) I had a hard time with the somewhat clunky controls, but it's still a great game. I always appreciate when something manages to humanize all the characters in its story - especially the villains, it seems like it's hard to do that successfully. The story and the voice acting were both excellent.

Sodalite loses almost all of its color when it's ground into a powder. I had several pieces of sodalite laying around and wanted to see if it would be suitable for use as a pigment. (apparently you can use it like this) The powder is slightly sparkly. I may mix it with some synthetic ultramarine to imitate the colorless particles found in natural ultramarine.
