I have to say, in my own blog, sometimes I think fans don't really like Harry (even if they ship him and create content with him), so they basically reinvent his entire character.

Some takes are just so doctored it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

For example, Tomarry. If you're looking for a young man who worships the ground LV walks in, despises Dumbledore, despises the corruption of muggle born (despite being an half-blood), is fascinated by purebloods' gold, etc...

why do you not ship LV with one of his death eater?

Also the tendency to exaggerate Harry's less than perfect traits is frankly boring. Ohhh, Harry crucrioed Bellatrix after she killed Sirius! This shows that Harry is B A D and loves using unforgivables!!

No, it shows that Harry is human, he has capacity for evil like everyone, he just decides not to use it, as exemplified by him never using an unforgivable in DH.

While I admit I don't think Harry is the most intriguing character of HP, I think he's interesting and very impressive on his own. I adore his compassion for Albus, Severus, and even Tom.

I adore his quiet nobility and full metal moral compass.

Ppl should re-read (and in many cases read for the first time!) the books instead of inhaling tiktok madeup hot takes .

Interpreting, subverting, playing doll with canon is one thing. Not knowing it at all is quite another, and I for one have a preference.

So. A lot of anti-dumbledore folks have argued that Dumbledore seemly referred to Voldemort as Tom more often that not? Or stating things like: Dumbledore is transphobic because of him deadnaming Voldemort. I won't touch into that for obvious reasons, but so far, there is no evidence that Dumbledore was running some sort of campaign to have Voldemort be known as Tom.

Now, obviously Dumbledore isn't admitting that V is more powerful than him, but I still just love the banter here concerning Voldemort. And Dumbledore's comment afterward; he's so funny.

I like that he liked his scar. I really don't remember if this opinion changes in canon or not, so can't wait to find out.

I love the buildup for Voldemort being such a powerful and frightening villain, a man known for just slaughtering people left and fucking right. My husband is a hottie.

Nah, but: It's been brought to my attention that there is some fanon? or just headcanon ideas floating around that Voldemort tried to recruit James and Lily, but here we have Hagrid musing on why DIDN'T Voldemort try.

Anyways. Still super beginning of this journey but I'm having loads of fun! Can't wait to share more!

Yesterday I had a tomarrry dream and you're going to hear about it.

So. Postwar Harry gets a vision where LV is getting tortured in hell. He feels compassion for him and bam, the powers that be make LV his problem.

Meaning, now there is a real life catatonic dark lord in Harry's sitting room. After seeing that LV isn't going to try anything, and getting reassured that LV can't attack anyone, Harry starts attending to him. First, he levitates him to a guestroom because LV Is still unresponsive. Then, he has a panic attack.

Tomorrow comes, and yup LV is still real.

So: the idea is that being in hell finally broke LV. Harry Is going to pierce his fragments back together by showing him genuine compassion and caring.

Also: when his brain is functioning again, LV is willing to work on the whole fixing his soul thing, since he absolutely doesn't want to go back to hell.

He also is baffled by Harry's incredible kindness and him being willing to help him, after all the terrible unforgivable things LV did to him. Is this guilt, Tom? Is this genuine fondness and awe, Tom?
