Here is a short timeline about our media that made us think how fast our media have developed. We all started in using typewriter as our way of printing words long time ago before printer was being developed. Magazines evolved before the newspapers. Newspapers are papers that is printed and distributed usually daily or weekly and that contains news, articles of opinion, features, and advertising. Telephone is used to communicate that permits two or more users to conduct a conversation when they are too far apart to be heard directly before internet and social media are being developed. Films and other forms of media are indeed an old part of media yet it is still on use until now, not like the other media from the old ones that are not already utilized.

The purpose of media is to inform and educate us well. Through the years, There are several forms of media that emerged throughout the history of new media. Media also helps us how to communicate to others. The only thing that is bad in media is when you use it illiterately.

Social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and more are giving people a chance to connect with each other across distances. In other words, the whole world is at our fingertips all thanks to social media. The youth is especially one of the most dominant users of social media. All this makes you wonder that something so powerful and with such a massive reach cannot be all good.

When we look at the positive aspect of social media, we find numerous advantages. The most important being a great device for education. All the information one requires is just a click away. Students can educate themselves on various topics using social media.

Moreover, live lectures are now possible because of social media. You can attend a lecture happening in America while sitting in India.

Furthermore, as more and more people are distancing themselves from newspapers, they are depending on social media for news. You are always updated on the latest happenings of the world through it. A person becomes more socially aware of the issues of the world.

Climate change and its impact

Our planet is warming. CO2 and other greenhouse gases released by our relentless burning of fossil fuels, our deforestation of the planet, and our livestock are accumulating in the atmosphere. Those gases, in turn, are trapping more heat that would otherwise have escaped into space.

The most commonly discussed impact of climate change is rising sea levels. And indeed, climate change is expected to raise global sea levels by 3 to 6 feetby the end of the century, not enough to drown the Statue of Liberty, but enough to put dozens of coastal cities and island nations at risk.

Climate change makes every other environmental problem worse. Drought has already taken its toll on the Amazon and other tropical forests. Heat and drought accelerate fresh water loss. Heat, drought, and extreme weather have decimated crops and threaten to do much worse in the future, making it that much harder to feed the population. And the other big effect of CO2 emissions release, ocean acidification, threatens the corals that are essential to the ocean food web - a food web already under pressure from human overfishing.

Earth is the only planet we call��“home”. It is the only planet suitable for us to live. According to science, it is the only habitable place in the universe. 

We failed as humans to protect and care for it. We destroyed our home. We focused on today and we do not care for what tomorrow may bring.You see Global warming is the main reason of the destruction of our home and it is because of our irresponsibility. Our irresponsibility that leads to the drying of rivers and the loss of trees.

We are entitled as “homo sapiens” or should I say “wise man”. But, Are we really that wise? Well, in terms of discovering such things we are wise enough but in such things that would help us to protect and preserve our nature, our home,we are blind and deaf. We are the only one who can bring change to our home. We are the beginning and end of the world. If we still can, We should do our best to preserve it.

We are the beginning of everything. If we had made mistakes then let us change. Let us change for us because if we destroy our home, We are also destroying our life, our future. Its never to late for changes. What mistakes we had done earlier should be corrected. Coz in the end “When all the rivers dry and all the trees have been cut down, We will not be able to eat money.”
