My favorite bit of folk medicine is that we’re supposed to take wormwood for intestinal parasites. It’s actually really effective, which is how wormwood got its name, but the reason it’s effective is that wormwood is literally just poison and it happens to kill the worms slightly faster than it kills you.

A deep sigh sigh escapes weakened lungs; a cough following behind it just as quickly - blood sprinkling the palm of his hand. He’s quick to wipe the evidence on his pants, but it doesn’t stop the man from mentally cursing himself. No matter how much time passed, he couldn’t bring himself to stop hating this body of his. It was always a struggle - no more so than today, when the first half of his day was spent writhing in pain.

Some hero he was.

Another sigh as he rounds the corner of the street; one of his hands holding his bag of ramen and bottled tea limply. Tonight would be wrapped in self-loathing and boredom, it seemed.

“Hm?”

Slowing his steps at the sounds of a struggle, the man peered into the nearby alley. Blue orbs take in the sight before One for All ignites in his veins - pumping up his muscles and expanding his body into a prouder state. A heroic state.

He was All Might after all; the Symbol of Peace.

Stepping into the alley and observing both the victim and villain in front of him, All Might grins wide - hoping to bring some sort of comfort to the young man being held hostage.

Preparing himself for a fight, feeling his Quirk flow through him comfortably, he turned his eyes on the trembling criminal.

“Good evening!” He cries, lifting one hand. “My apologies for arriving so late, but fear not! For at long last, I am here!”

A statement that is met with a proud, boisterous laugh.

“Villain!” He jabs a finger at the trembling man. “Put down the knife. No one needs to get hurt today!”

He heard the mugger hiss and cuss under his breath, and if Julian had been him he would have done much more in the presence of All Might. Who would have thought that All Might would have been the one to come to his rescue. Seeing the man in real life was amazing, he was so much bigger than on tv. “You had best run, I don’t think you want to be on the end of a smash attack.” Julian said hoping the guy would just drop the knife and run. Suddenly Julian felt something sharp and painful in his arm. The guy had stabbed him, Julian was in shock as the man threw him at All Might and made a run for it.  Julian stumbled forward then slumped to the ground holding the gushing stabwound. ‘teach me to open my mouth,’ Julian thought angrily at himself. Through all the pain Julian realised something ‘HE has my backpack!! That’s all I own!” that was all the things he had to his name, “I need that back! that’s all I have left please!” Julian could feel himself panicking, what little money he had was in there as well. with out that backpack he wouldn’t be able to stay anywhere. He looked up at All Might with pleading eyes, he needed that back. “Please!”

Home Is Where You Make It

( closed starter for @all-mighty-ultra )   Julian didn’t know what to do, it had been 3 days and he still didn’t think he was far enough away from home... No that wasn’t home anymore and Julian had a sinking suspicion that it had never been in the first place. That was his husband’s home. Julian sighed, he should really stop thinking of the bastard as this husband, but they were still legally married. He was still covered in burns and bruises from him even 3 days later...

Julian had married Darith right out of highschool, and looking back there had been so many warning signs but, he was young, in love, and dumb. No family to have his back, or be his support, just him thrown out of the foster care at 18 and in love with a monster. He didn’t have much of a choice looking back... College had been hard but he was a doctor; not that Darith thought much about that. Pushing those thoughts away, Julian slipped out of the small train station. All He had was his backpack to his name. It was all he dared to pack he had been so scared that Darith would have come home and found him; thankfully he didn’t but that thought still haunted him. Darth would come after him. He would come after him and kill him and Julian knew it, and finding people was Darith’s job, he was a cop after all.  Clutching his bag close to himself Julian headed to a small convenience store, it was the middle of then night and nothing else was open, and he was hungry. He would get something to eat and wait until morning to see if there was someplace cheap to stay, he didn’t want to spend what little money he had on less than half a night at a motel.  Someone grabbed him by the backpack and yanked him in to the dark Alley he had been passing. Before he could think to yell a hand was over his mouth and a knife to his throat. “Give me you bag or your life, I won’t think twice about gutting you, you pretty little thing. The mugger’s voice was deep and held and edge sharper than the knife he was holding to his neck. Julian almost had to laugh; he escaped his abusive husband only to be killed in and alley by random, at least it would piss Darith off knowing that he wasn’t the one to kill him. Suddenly there was a shout as the guy held the knife out the the new person walking down the alley. It was dark but Julian could see a that they were huge, and intimidating enough to have the mugger shaking.

“Oh! You’re new here?!” Hizashi blurted, “Where ya’ from! I’m Hizashi Yamada, but you can call me Mic.” He smiled back at the doctor. Had he really called him a cute Pro Hero??

Yamada was honestly surprised Julian had recognized him as a Pro. When he wasn’t wearing his costume and hair, many people thought he was just a crazy fan or something.

“It's wonderful to meet you Mic,” Julian said and took his drink from the bartender, and passed Mic his. “I came to Japan a few years ago when my Ex husband moved us here. I grew up in Hawaii, when we moved here, we lived in Hosu. Now I’m here, and have been, for oh I don’t know, 6 days. Just long enough to unpack and work my first shift at the hospital.” He took another drink of his drink, he saw the surprise on Mic’s face, “My ex used to be a pro hero, so I keep tabs on which pros are in what areas... especially handsome ones.” Julian teased him enjoying getting him to blush. He hadn’t been sure it had been Present Mic when he had first seen him, but he had recognized his voice.      

((Julian the doctor)) Julian just slides on over next to him, "hey handsome, let me buy you a drink?" Wink and grin.

“Me?!” Hizashi looked around, eyebrows arching high in surprise. Finally, he looked back at the person next to him and nodded, “Sure!”

“Yes you,” Julian said as he made himself comfortable in the seat next to him, “I’m new to the area. I just started work at the local hospital and i thought coming here would be a great place to start to meet people.” His grin wider as his tail wagged, “and would you look at that I found a cute pro hero, to have drinks with.” This time a small blush of his own appeared on his cheeks turning the blue skin a pail purple.

“I’m Julian Tu by the way, just call me Julian... i’m not used to the whole everyone calls you by your last name thing here in Japan.” 

((Julian the doctor)) Julian just slides on over next to him, "hey handsome, let me buy you a drink?" Wink and grin.
