Baterra, the Silent Death

I really loved Lewis Hammond’s Baterra design on Flickr so made a handful.

thinking about integrating more Mahri elements in my Mata-style designs, since they’re kind of the most iconic appearances for these characters, and I’ve already based their weapon designs after these specific versions. Since Kongu Mahri is so Wide, I can only imagine him having the same body type as Onua. Plus as much as I’ve heard complaints about how fragile the lime joints are, it’s an incredible addition to the standard blue color palette and gives Hahli a great distinctive look

Kyry is canonically older than Tren Krom, Artakha, Karzahni, Mata Nui, and all of the Makuta. He is more ancient than the entirety of the Matoran Universe, down to all of its living creatures, locations, and structures. Kyry was born before and outlived the Matoran Universe!

Those Agori lifespans do be hitting different.

Custom parts for @suddenlyoranges‘ “Sockets” character. Oranges wanted the limbs and mask to have a gradient of yellow and transparent blue, with some clear space between the colors so that the colors didn’t mix into a green in the middle. To accomplish this, I relied on transparent yellow Tamiya paint at the clear ends of the cast parts. I honestly wasn’t sure it would work aesthetically, but it has a striking, otherworldly effect!

Just in time for Mermay, it’s the Creeps from the Deep themselves! It’s the Barraki!! I loved drawing these boys this time around. I really tried to lean into the mutations from the pit, and I think it worked really well
