Divine Journeys: From the Ghats of Varanasi to the Spiritual Heights of Rishikesh
Embarking on a mesmerizing journey, my brother and I took to the skies from Varanasi to New Delhi aboard a punctual SpiceJet flight, touching down in the capital at 11:30 pm on November 7th, 2023. The allure of the north beckoned, and we answered with an overnight road trip, arriving in Dehradun at dawn's first light. The Pearl Grand Hotel welcomed us with open arms for an early check-in, offering a much-needed respite.
As the day unfolded, we found ourselves at Dehradun's Buddha Temple, a sanctuary of tranquility and architectural marvel. Within its hallowed grounds, Devlok restaurant served as a haven for our culinary explorations, where lunch was not just a meal but an experience, surrounded by serenity. The temple, with its majestic stupa, offered a moment of spiritual connection, as we joined others in the meditative act of rotating the stupa.
Our journey then led us to Tapkeshwar Mahadev, a shrine that exudes a divine tranquility. The touch of the Shiva Linga in the cave and the visit to the Vaishnav Devi shrine were profound, spiritual encounters, enhanced by the enlightening conversation with a local Purohit.
Gucchu Pani, with its unique charm, presented a playful contrast. Walking on its flowing waters was an exhilarating experience, reminding us of nature's playful side. Mussoorie awaited next, where strolling along the Mall Road was like stepping into a storybook. A quick trek in the hills, followed by a delightful tea and bread butter treat, encapsulated the essence of this quaint hill station.
Returning to our hotel, a hearty dinner gave way to a night of rejuvenating sleep. Rishikesh greeted us the next morning, where the Mustache Luxuria hotel offered a luxurious retreat. An Ayurvedic massage there was a balm to the soul, preparing us for the spiritual experiences ahead.
The banks of the Ganges in Rishikesh, humming with the chants of 'Hare Krishna', offered a sanctuary of peace. The evening Ganga Aarti was a spectacle of devotion and light, while live music at the hotel and a brisk walk with my brother added layers to our rich tapestry of experiences.
The journey took a more adventurous turn with a bike ride to Neelkanth Mahadev, a pilgrimage that was both thrilling and divine. On our return, lunch at Parmarth Dham and a shopping spree added local flavor to our adventure. Our final stop at Haridwar, where a holy dip in the Ganges cleansed and rejuvenated us, was the perfect conclusion to a journey that was as much about discovering new places as it was about rediscovering ourselves.

Gabru and balloons
Gabru had always loved balloons. They were colorful, fun and always brought a smile to his face. But, as he grew older, he began to develop a fear of them. It all started when he was just a puppy and his mom had accidentally burst a balloon in front of him. The loud noise and sudden movement had scared him, and from that day on, he couldn't stand to be near them.
Years went by and Gabru's fear of balloons had become a distant memory, until one day, his dad brought him a pair of balloons as a surprise. Gabru was excited when he saw them, but as soon as he got close, he began to shake and tremble. His dad and mom couldn't understand why he was reacting this way. It wasn't until they remembered the incident from his childhood that they realized what was going on.

As time went on, Gabru's fear of food theft grew stronger, and it began to create distance between him and his dad. They were no longer as close as they once were, and Gabru's dad couldn't understand why his beloved dog was acting so strange.
One night, Gabru woke up all of a sudden and couldn't go back to sleep. He started going near to his treat box to make sure that all he saw was a dream and not reality. His family couldn't understand the reason behind his perplexity, but they tried to put him back to sleep. But Gabru couldn't fall asleep again, he was too worried about his food.
An hour later, Gabru finally fell asleep, but a few minutes later he started mumbling and throwing his legs, perhaps he again saw someone stealing his food in his dream. His family couldn't understand what was happening and they were worried about Gabru.
It was a beautiful morning when Gabru's dad decided to take him on a date. He wanted to clear things up between them and make sure Gabru knew that he had nothing to do with the imagined food theft. Gabru was excited when he saw his dad getting ready, he knew something fun was about to happen.
They went to a nearby park, Gabru's favorite place. They had a great time playing fetch and chasing each other. Gabru's dad could see the happiness in his eyes, it was like nothing ever happened. After some time, they sat on a bench and Gabru's dad started talking. He explained to Gabru that it was just a dream and that he would never take his food away. He apologized for the distance that had formed between them and promised to always be there for him.
Gabru listened carefully, he could see the honesty in his dad's eyes. He realized that he had been wrong and that his dad had never intended to hurt him. He apologized for his behavior and they hugged each other tightly. From that day on, Gabru knew that he could trust his dad and that he would always be there for him.
They spent the rest of the day together, enjoying each other's company. Gabru felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders and he was happy to have his dad back. They went home that night with a renewed bond and a stronger connection than ever before. Gabru was finally able to sleep peacefully, knowing that his dad had his back.
From that day on, Gabru never had any nightmares about his food being stolen again. He knew that his dad would never hurt him and that he could always trust him. They went on many more dates and had many more adventures together, building a lifetime of memories and a bond that could never be broken. Gabru was grateful to have such a loving and caring dad and he knew that he was truly blessed.
