We often hear people exclaim (quite emphatically) “I never enable push notifications or allow the apps I download to know my location!” unless you’re the #conspiracy theory type, this seems counterintuitive. Think about it: if a #websites’ primary purpose is to (not limited to though) provide information and a #mobileapp’s primary purpose is function and utility (especially not limited to) then why, oh WHY... Are you disabling the the functions of the app you just downloaded (and now taking up virtual real estate) specifically designed to provide YOU with relevant, user-specific recommendations, deals, advice, etc...? #makesnosense =)

We've been working hard lately on a new client project. During the course of the User Interface (#UI) phase discussions came up surrounding the preferred "split" between time spent on #uidesign vs #uxdesign (User Experience). In other words: how much time should be spent on how a new #mobileapp should "look" compared to how a new #app should function and perform. Interesting conversation. What do YOU think? 50/50? 30/70? Case-by-case?
