Dasha Plesen’s “Tones and Textures” Series
Daria Fedorova laces petri dishes with various bacterias and other organisms before placing extra elements like fluffy balls, sugars, and sprinkles in the container.
These manufactured additions impede the growths to produce myriad shades and structures and cultivate otherworldly compositions of unnaturally saturated colors, patches of fuzz, and flared coils of slime all within in a single vessel.

Blackstrap Electrik Co. - B.E.C. HOUSE ENCLOSURE
"It's taken me like three years, and after many false starts and abandoned prototypes, I've finally realized my dream enclosure.
This stylish box is based on my favorite vintage enclosure: the rare, cast-aluminum Zonk II. Like the early Sola Sound produced Marshall Supa Fuzz, this Zonk II enclosure was designed and built by Olivetti S.p.A, an Italian firm (founded in 1908 by Camillo Olivetti in Ivrea, Italy) that produced sleek, Atomic-age enclosures for adding machines and other desktop apparatuses.
Early on, Sola Sound built Tone Bender MKII circuits into these hammered blue, Zonk II boxes for John Hornby Skewes. To my knowledge, only one of these has been recovered. After this partnership ended, JHS began stuffing the enclosures with their own silicon Zonk II circuit.
I consider this my house enclosure. It is available for Focus and Old Pal builds only."

Knight - Fuzz KG 389
"I believe it was made in 1967 but not positive about that. It's an Allied Radio product. I bought this in its original unmade packaging and had Jim (Jerms) put it together for me."

Lucy Skaer - Resin Translation
Mercosul Bienal
13 September - 10 November 2013
Porto Allegre, Brazil
"Raw Gum Rosin is a tree sap, used in various products such as chewing gum and leg wax. The rosin is usually delivered as broken lumps in a paper sack. This project saw the factory switch to deliver faceted lozenge forms of the rosin. They entered the production chain for normal delivery, and some were displayed for the duration of the show before delivery."
