One of the reasons I like ttpd so much is because Taylor has written and spoken at length about her need for approval and her people pleasing tendencies, and this album feels like she's finally making something for herself. It's like she's finally garnered the confidence to create raw, personal art regardless of the feedback it receives and as a human person who also experiences complicated and controversial emotions that require self awareness and nuance, i appreciate it.
