I came across your Louis x Polari post. Do you have any updated theories? I see their Instagram is full of H&L references but there’s nothing specific I can tie back to either of them.

Hi sorry this is late I'm not on here as much as I used to..

In my very honest opinion they are just clout chasing.. if they post a photo related to the boys they get around 30-40k likes. When they don't it gets on average 3-5k, often less.

So every few months when everyone has forgotten about them they post something blue/green or the boys and boom, engagement 🤷‍♀️

One thing I've learned during hours and hours of training in my career: if the "customer" is not understanding your message, it's not their fault. It's yours! You're the one with the power, you're the one with privileged info, you're the one who can tell people what this is all about. And when you fail in doing that, it's when the chaos begins.

I have the script, which shows me clearly what the original story is about. I've read it, I understood the context, and I know what this movie is about. Period. There's no discussion until here, it's there, written, documented, and printed.

Clifford didn't accept his wife was more successful than him, did something (I assume he cheated on her) and she filed for a divorce. He, being the abusive human he was, trapped her in a parallel reality and she's living that life against her will, where they're married and he wants kids. They have a marital life, sexual activities included, while she's unconscious in real life.

This is not something up to discussion, this is real and no one can change it. It is the original script. And besties, it's fine to have a movie about it. We have tons of others, this is not the first one, Olivia did not discover the wheel or something. It's art imitating art, it's fine. But when all we have is the information that Alice is trapped in a machine that takes her to another dimension, where she's married to a man she doesn't want anymore, and the director says that this is about "female pleasure" when said woman, again, DOESN'T WANT HIM ANYMORE, it is wrong. But the thing is: she doesn't tell us what the actual DWD is about.

Yes, Olivia said the script changed a bit, but she also said it is, and I quote her here, "a pretty major departure from that concept". So, for me, at this moment, they changed the script here and there, but the movie is still about a woman who's trapped in a parallel universe, forced into a marriage and a life she doesn't want. If - and it's a big IF - I'm wrong here, it's not my fault. That's the message Olivia Wilde is sending.

So instead of posting tons of stories calling Harry Style's fan horrible names, her update accounts should try to contact her (good luck, because she doesn't care about you all!) and ask Olivia what the hell this movie is about.

Ask her the real plot, ask her why is this about female pleasure, and ask her how can you guys talk about the movie without giving the idea you're condoning abusive relationships and rape.

Because besties, not everyone who's gonna watch this movie is in Harry Style's fandom and at the moment someone influential realizes what's happening, they're gonna end her career for good. When a Women's Organization discovers what's going on, you calling people "Larry" and saying "Larry is not real" won't be enough!

What stood out to me the most is the dilemma of no real change, no matter if you quietly leave the industry or you stay and speak up, because then you’re just being “difficult” and either way there are 100 more waiting to replace you and accepting the work conditions without hesitating.

My impression is that Louis and Harry both have decided to stay in the music industry (maybe because the Azoffs have been supportive) because they found many ways to proceed their subtle rebellion in the industry. (rbb/sbb gave everyone a little taste)

For both Louis and Harry launching their own labels is an act of emancipation and shows they understand where artists have “leeways” in their existing contracts.

For Harry to be flamboyant on stage, signaling and queer coding as much as he can, is rebellious and damn clever. They say he dresses up to go on stage? I say he doesn’t, instead he actually dresses up to go het stunting.

For Louis to “partner” with BMG as publisher and distributor, but not get signed as an artist to remain fully in charge of his next album, is rebellious and damn smart.

For Louis to create a free music festival without any visible sponsors and promoting it solely with his social media presence, is outrageous, rebellious and shows how much power he has.

For Louis to tease plans for his own music management company and proving he has a damn good eye spotting talent, is a huge act of emancipation, it proves he doesn’t want to depend on his solo artist career only and he could make a change in the music industry in the UK.

For Harry to go into acting, is a similar act of emancipation from being a musician only. It takes a lot of pressure off of him in that regards.

There are so many examples where I see Louis and Harry represent the same values and fight the same battle at different ends, but definitely towards each other. It’s subtle, yet damn loud.
