Turin is taller than everyone (except Thingol)
(well at least he won't be bumping into stuff in public place)
Turin: I wonder why people always staring at my chest when I'm talking to them
Beleg: Probably because it's nice to look at
Mablung: Because you're too tall and people can't see your face PLUS YOU HAVE NO UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT PERSONAL SPACE IS

🐅 Mablung?
🐅 - Characterization: character habits, personality, etc.
he’s a bit of a mom friend to me. maybe a little paranoid too. I’ve seen characterizations that make him the straight laced serious counterpart to a silly and whimsical Beleg. I don’t think that’s too far off, byt maybe he envies how Beleg always seems to be having more fun than him. I think he likes watching birds in his free time

My piece for @aoaanthology
Ingwe, Elwe and Finwe meeting the Valar.  I’ve never worked on such a large piece digitally. It was a lot of trial and error. But I’m happy with how it turned out.
The book is still for sale!

Rough sketch of a battle between an elves and orcs. Totally inspired by the events of the first age when Morgoth took over Beleriand.

Ingwe, Elwe, Finwe
Elwe’s in the middle because I love him he’s tall. I made a Silmarillion fan book. This was the cover.

no shade or anything but I imagine it must've been a super awkward situation for Fëanor to end up in the Halls of Mandos so soon after all those big speeches. and you know Námo couldn't bite back the inevitable "I told you so"

Glorfindel and the Balrog
“Many are the songs that have been sung of the duel of Glorfindel with the Balrog upon a pinnacle of rock in that high place... “
The Silmarillion, Chapter 23 : of Tuor and the Fall of Gondolin, 1977, J.R.R Tolkien,
Glorfindel is one of my favorites Elves from Tolkien's books and I really wanted to drawing and paint his last fight when everything is lost.
Gondolin, the last Elven sanctuary of Beleriand is no more. Its people are dead or trying to espace by the mountains with despair and fear, as Morgoth's forces hunt them down.
And then came Glorfindel, an Elf chieftain, who is certainly weakened by the Siege and perhaps knowing that this fight againts the Balrog will bring their both end, but he will give a chance to his people and friends to escape to safety.
Glorfindel is I think, one of the greastest, selfless and bravest hero of Middle-Earth. Not just during that fight (which that will allowed to Eärendil to live and bring back hope on Middle-Earth) but also during the events of The Lord of the Rings... to help once more the Free People in their darkest hours.

ok, but... if common fanon celegorm has silver hair. and Dior has silver hair in my hc. and there's their battlefield duel of sorts during the second kinslaying...
we have two silver warriors. sons of the two greatest among the Eldar of all time (dark haired!)... and the fact that Celegorm was once hitting on Dior's mother - does it cross his mind that if his - whatever he felt for Lúthien - was reciprocated this might have been his son?
and there's the way the fandom likes to connect the Fëanorians, and Celegorm especially to the Doriath royals in various ways... we desperately want them to meet in more favourable circumstances... and yes! I think that if the sons of Fëanor had not, well, done everything they did... if Fëanor himself had been a different person. and not gotten himself killed... they would have gotten along well.
but not.

To me, as I perceived it, Manwe and Melkor are bound to each other, they are brothers and the eldest of the Valars, and they understand Eru more than the others. But at some point I think that Melkor was more powerful than his brother, even though at the end he didn't have authority over Arda because of his treason.
It's kinda love hate relationship because at a certain moment Manwe didn't really take a bold decision against Melkor, because he was his brother, and so is Melkor.
That's why I depict them in a same manner, the melancholy in their gesture is what I wanted.

Topics of conversation among the elven party come to visit Minas Tirith for Aragorn and Arwen's wedding:
Whether the paintings and tapestries of legendary events made by the city's denizens are accurate
Whether Glorfindel should be shown tapestries depicting his fall
Balrogs don't look like that
Whether Osgiliath really was as pretty as they say
Whether Osgiliath or Annuminas was prettier
Whether the Rohirrim resemble the house of Hador much
Whether Aredhel would have gotten on well with Eowyn (difficult question because on the one hand - gestures at everything - and on the other: Aredhel was a difficult person at times, had never met one of the secondborn and would likely have mortally offended the other within ten minutes)
Another Gondorian woman looking a bit like Lúthien
Why do Lúthien look-alikes turn up generations upon generations after Elros
Does Minas Tirith feature too many stone walls and too little greenery
Is there something wrong with the Noldor for not minding being cooped up within stone walls
There having still been far more greenery in Tirion last time the exiles had been there (7000 years ago)
Whether Tirion was much changed when Glorfindel last saw it (3000 years ago)
Whether Gondorians naming their children after Túrin of all people is taking things a bit too far
Whether an inkeeper should be informed his prized family heirloom is an elvish dinner knife
Whether a courtier should be informed his prized family heirloom had been made by Curufin because on the one hand he might consider it cool, and on the other hand - Curufin
Whether a certain type of cake should best be eaten hot or cold
Can you use osanwë accidentally and is it cheating if it happens while you're playing bridge

Aragorn and Arwen, oil on canvas.
Heavily inspired by Jimena Reno, who painted Arwen, and I felt the need to do so as well.
