Yep!

He mainly speaks like everypony else for the most part (he's been on the road most his life and is more used to how the ponies talk)

However, on occasion he'll rhyme ethier when extremely emotional or just unknowingly (and he loves to bring out that skill in rap battles lol)

Will there be any ships in this au?

Gotten this kind of question a couple times.

Truth is it'll really depend. On one hand I LOVE ships and I especially love the concept of even cross shipping characters since there's so many personalities to mix here. but overall shipping is not a main focus and I doubt I'd make any fundamentally canon to the AU.

I definitely will make ship art, but I'll most likely tag it all as non-canon. I want everybody to enjoy the AU and some people don't like particular ships or shipping at all, and I think that's fair.

as for the ships I will draw; well it'll just depend on what catches my eye. (that's the fun of multi-shipping)

Designs that are canon to the AU however are going to be made by me, even if it takes me a bit to draw everypony.

Does sonic know the mane 6?

This is a great question!

Sonic ofc knows about the mane 6; I mean, doesn't everypony? But he's really only a friendly acquaintance of most the girls.

since he doesn't live in ponyvill due to constantly traveling (and has his own rocking set of friends) he doesn't find much time to hang with them. Especially when both sets of ponies are usually busy with adventures.

He does like to stop by in ponyvill every once and awhile, and has even bumped into the girls during his travels.

for instance, during a trip in Canterlot he offered to deliver some dresses for Rarity in exchange for fixing a hole in his scarf free of charge (that pony does not keep bits on him.) I think Rarity would have fixed it regardless, she is very generous like that, but sonic loves to take any opportunity to test his speed.

However, out of all the mane 6 I'd say he's closest with Rainbow dash! They meant during an event in cloudsdale and ended up having a blast racing each other, and often make time to race again if they're in the same area. After all, It's not often dash meets another pony who can really keep up with her.

PHEW the questions just keep coming, keeping up will be tougher then I thought. I'm going to try to draw/answer some of the ones received this week.

Decided the ponies of the AU need some alternative names better fit for the world of Equestria!

(and so they they can bs properly identified separately from the original sonic cast)

→ Creme Brulee is a type of dessert which primarily uses cream!

• Bulky Catch ––––––––––

→ a play on his size but a hint to his love of fishing! (and because he quite the catch himself, we love big in these parts)

• Mareroon ––––––––––

→ since "Rouge" is a color, I decided to pick another color as the alternative name. Maroon not only works for the pun, but is also a color associated with bl*od, which felt appropriate for a bat pony

• Shadow Sparks ––––––––––

→ he's a dark figure, illuminated only by the sparks of his own magic

• Buckles ––––––––––

→ Horses (or Zebras in this case) don't have hands, so they don't have Knuckles, so they can't punch. Horses do however, have hooves, and can kick, this Buckles, Bucks!

• Tenochtitlan ––––––––––

→ Tikal is named after a temple, so I figured her AU name should be named after a temple in Equestria, and I landed on the Tenochtitlan temple, not much is actually known for this temple in universe, so writing will be required.

• Blazing Aster ––––––––––

→ the Kirin have plant/nature related names. Aster is a kind of purple flower so I figured it fit best!

• Mareef ––––––––––

→ "Marine" is in reference to general Ocean life, which is very prominent in Coral Reefs.

• Espionage ––––––––––

→ Dragons usually have short names that list off a specific trait, Espio is short of espionage which refers to spying

• Scorcher ––––––––––

→ A hint at his fire breath (or fire tunes if you'd like)

• Hamuli ––––––––––

→ the changelings tend to have names that reference bug anatomy or topics, "Hamuli" are a structure found on honeybee wings.

• Timber Omega ––––––––––

→ Omega is a term used for wolf rankings in some cases, so perhaps it's used for Timberwolves as well! Omegas design will reflect that aspect as well as what powers him

All your designs are so cute!! I'd love to know your plans for Silver and Knuckles both story wise and design wise

First off: thank you!

Secondly: I have yet to work on the full stories for Knuckles and Silver, but believe me it's on the list (Knuckles should be next if I'm not too busy this next week)

I want to portray a lot of the stories through art and maybe comics so it's more of a wait and see situation for everybody!

Thirdly: fanart is absolutely allowed! Just remember to use a tag or two so I can find it, I'd love to see it!

Ok, really crazy idea but it would be cool: Shadow, just like in the original, was made, but more in the sense of equestria girls?

Gerald somehow gained access to the pony's magic and tried to create something capable of curing Maria's illness, things went wrong (because it always has to go wrong) and he ends up being ejected through a portal that the doctor had forcibly kept open to extract magic and then: BAM! A pony in a world of ponies who doesn't know what it's like to live among ponies in Sunset Shimer style but in reverse.

Oh, and I don't know why, but I can see Knucles and Tikal being Kirins.

I honestly had a couple working ideas for Shadow but this one is by far the most interesting suggestion I've gotten and already fits well for other ideas I had in the works

Thank you so much for such a detailed concept, I'll definitely have to keep notes on it!

(also for Knuckles and Tikal I plan to make them Zebras! and Blaze a Kirin)

First off, THANK YOU!!!

Secondly, for lore, I don't plan to change any of the fundamentals of the G4 universe (that's the gen I'm working off of as I'm most familiar with it)

there will however be additional lore specifically for the new ponies (the sonic characters) as characters like Shadow or Tikal are built off of their backstories. plus it will be fun to work around the rules of the MLP universe in order to recreate iconic stories.
