•Baked Apple Ice Cream Bowls•
Ingredients
• 4 apples (hollowed out) Add more if you’re serving more people.
• 1 tbsp sugar
• 1 tbsp cinnamon
• Low fat vanilla ice cream
• Caramel topping
• Optional- low fat granola
Directions
• Hollow out apples.
You can use a strong metal spoon for this, or a melon baller would work, as well.
You can also use an apple corer, but just make sure that you don’t push it all the way through the bottom of the apple!
(Although, that would definitely help cut the calories!)
• Mix together sugar and cinnamon and add to inside of apples.
• Bake at 350˚ for 20 minutes. (You may have to bake a little longer if you add more than 4 apples.)
• When apples are baked, fill with low fat vanilla ice cream.
• Top them off with caramel drizzle, and a little low fat granola if you want it to taste more like apple crisp. Yummers!
A perfect, quick and easy, fall dessert to complement any meal… Enjoy!
