INT. REI’S ROOM, NIGHT

REI RYUGAZAKI is sitting at his desk, doing homework. It’s math, and it’s fairly hard, although REI knows all the formulas, so it is only a matter of plugging in the numbers in the correct places. He has studied formulas all his life, after all. He knows what he’s doing. Soft Classical music plays in the background, piano etudes to help facilitate his thinking. He sits upright at a chair, focused only on his homework.

Suddenly, his phone RINGS loudly.

REI RYUGAZAKI (startled at first, then sighs) Wha--I thought I had turned this off...

Rei reaches for his phone and reads the title screen.

REI RYUGAZAKI Nagisa? Why is he calling me? I thought I told him not to disturb me at this time!

He holds his phone, staring at the title screen, before putting it away, still ringing.

REI RYUGAZAKI I’ll just ignore him. He won’t learn if there isn’t some consequence involved with bad behavior. Natural conditioning. Like Pavlov.

He returns to his math, struggling to concentrate as the phone keeps ringing. Finally it falls silent.

REI RYUGAZAKI (sighs with relief and smiles) There. See? Now he will have learned his lesson and--

The phone RINGS again!

REI RYUGAZAKI (surprised) Wha-?! (composed) I’ll just ignore him again. You have to be consistent with things like this. I’ll just tell him tomorrow that I didn’t get his call. No, I’ll tell him that I didn’t even know he had called.

He returns to his math, fighting the urge to answer. The phone falls silent once more. Rei hesitates before looking at the phone, staring as he waits to see if it will ring again.

After a considerable pause, he smiles.

REI RYUGAZAKI (smugly) Heh. Just as I thought. (preachy) If you continue with persistent conditioning methods, eventually the subject will finally learn to--'

RING!

Rei picks up the phone immediately, angrily.

REI RYUGAZAKI (frustrated, yelling) I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU NOT TO CALL ME AT THIS TIME, NAGISA! I AM TRYING TO CONCENTRATE ON HOMEWORK AND IT IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH YOU CALLING ME EVERY--

beat.

REI RYUGAZAKI  (confused) Eh? This...(gasp) H-Haruka-senpai! Uh...I-I’m so sorry! I...I thought you were Nagisa. He keeps calling me and--

Slight beeping comes from the phone. An incoming call.

REI RYUGAZAKI  Oh...excuse me, Haruka-senpai. I seem to be getting another call. One moment.

beat as Rei answers the second call

REI RYUGAZAKI Hello?

beat. (startled exclamation) NAGISA?!? (sputtering) What--I--You--I told you not to--Why are you even-- Rei continues rambling and ranting onto the phone in fragments.

  It's almost midnight. Why did you wanted me to come here so late? What's so important? You made me sneak out of my house. I've never done such a thing. [There's pause and after a few seconds a seductive giggle]

   So is that. That is what's so urgent. [Sound of undoing a short zipper] 

Be quick. I have to go back home before my parents notice that I left. [Kissing sounds and heavy breaths] 

Oh my! You're very impatient toni-

[Moans, talking with a soft tone, panting loudly]

We shouldn't be doing a thing like this here. What if someone passes by and sees us? [More moans mixed with kisses]

I know I was the one that started. But [moans] I can't avoid it when you called me here and looked so anxious about it. Do I really make you feel this way? [kissing sounds] 

D-don't say it's a stupid question, it's just tha- [gasps loudly] Oh, no, please, not ther- [Loud moans that slowly turn into panting sounds]

[A seductive laugh here] Maybe running away from home to meet you isn't that bad... Right?

Jealous

 I don't even remember when I started feeling this way about Haru. Maybe it was since we were kids and he'd let me grip his shirt while we slept, so I wouldn't be scared. Maybe it was the way he talked to me that was so different from how he talked to everyone else. I'm not sure but before I even notice, I'm smiling again.

"But why does he always have to do that?" I ask to myself. "Rin this, Rin that, I'm going to quit swimming because of Rin" I say with an annoyed tone.

Why does Haru have to think about Rin all the time? Is there something wrong with me? I hardly ever get this kind of feelings, but it's almost impossible for me to avoid them when I think of them both.

I take a deep breath and release it after a few seconds. 

"Ugh" I whisper. Nagisa has told me that my feelings for Haru aren't ignored. But then why does he keep searching for Rin? Can he give him something that I can't? 

I smile when I remember Haru asking me why did I act so weird when Rin was around. I had to lie and simply tell him that I wasn't feeling good. Nagisa looked at me in the eyes and called me a liar, I hate lies. But no matter what, I'm never going to admit it. I'm never going to say that...

"I'm so... so..." I mumble. "... So jealous."

When are we going to know the results of the writer's audition?

I'm currently rounding up the last of the script writer auditions. Since my last post about picking script writers, I've gotten a lot more auditions. I've just sent out emails regarding acceptance. When each person replies, we'll post their names (if they so choose) under the cast list.
