his  hands  shook  just  enough to  be  annoying –  eyes  lifting to  meet  her  face  as  he  brings a  shaky  hand  to  his  lips.  wiping the  remnants  of  vomit  off  them  with  the  back  of  his  hand.  it’s  another moment  before  he  can  ring  himself  to  rise  from  his  position on  the  floor  beside  the  toilet.  

when  he  does  rise,  though, he  must  hold  on  to  the  wall  because  he  finds  that  as  he  rises  to  his  full  height  he  struggles  to  keep  his  balance.  the  room  spun  just  a  bit  too  fast  for  him.  hand  gripping  the  door frame  he  shrugs  at  her  –    ❝     please  do  not  worry  about  me,  leta,    ❞   he  murmurs,  his  voice  barely wavering.  

❝    i’m  sure  i’ve  just  eaten  something off  –  i’ll  be  okay.     ❞   he’d  never  been  one  to  dwell  on  his  own  issues. –  he  was  far  more  concerned  about  everyone  else  than  himself. it  had  been  beaten  into  him  since  he  was  a  child  that  his  own  issues didn’t  matter  –  so  even  now,  when  he  had  every  chance in  the  world  to  worry  about  himself… he  still  didn’t.

"i will never trust you again." :)

his  dark  hues  flick  to  the  ground –  his  shoulders were  slouched.  his  entire  form  shifted  into  submissions  moments ago  when  theseus had  returned  home.  at  first, he  hadn’t  quite  understood  what  he’d  done  wrong.  but  it  wasn’t long  before  he  figured  it  out.  the  shame  that  crawled  up  his  neck  was  enough to  make  him  feel  sick  –  nausea curling  in  the  pit  of  his  stomach. almost  like  a  snake  –  prepared  to  strike  at  any  moment.

he  sniffles,  trying to  pull  himself together.  to  face  his  friend theseus.  eyes  lift  then  –  slowly.  he  was  struggling to  find  it  within  himself to  meet  his  eyes.  breath shakes  as  he  prepares  himself  to  speak  –  but  it  doesn’t  happen. before  he  can  get  the  words  out  –  i’m  sorry, theseus.  i  didn’t mean  it..  i  didn’t  –  his  world  is  jerked apart.  

i  will  never  trust  you  again.

he’s  almost  baffled by  the  words  –  sure,  he  understood them.  he  got  the  meaning. you  fucked up  and  i  will  not  leave  you  alone  in  my  home  again.  but  that  doesn’t wipe  the  confusion from  his  features. heart  stuttering  in  his  chest  –  only  to  pick  back  up  at  a  racing  pace.  

❝     you  don’t  mean  that,  theseus  –  you  don’t… you  can’t!     ❞   words  are  panicked as  he  pleads with  him  –  ❝     i  didn’t mean  it,  theseus, really  i  didn’t! i’m  sorry!     ❞

come one, come all to arkadia penitentiary !  with the criminals like animals in cages and the guards their ‘ noble keepers, ’  it’s better to be on the outside looking in. just take a look at the dangerous criminals prowling the halls, stalking their prey  &&  ready to pounce !  and if you’re lucky, you might witness a ‘ rare, ’ but all-too-possible smack-down by the guards themselves.  ( if the prisoners don’t get them first. be careful, though; we’d hate to see them get sent to the shu !   or would we ?  ) 

what they don’t tell you about arkadia, though, is that things aren’t always as they seem. most of the criminals aren’t as dangerous as they’re cracked up to be and the guards aren’t as innocent as believed.
