Closing Announcement

Considering the inactivity of this network, it has been decided that we will close it. I, as the founder, apologize for not being able to properly take care of the net and its members and staff. This will be the last post and we won't continue to reblog works or other stuff.

Cling!

The glass cup flies across the room and hits the floor right next to where you stood. The cup breaks into thousands of pieces and scatters against the floor, some smaller pieces piercing your skin as they skim past your legs. Blood drips down your legs as you stand still, not moving from where you were. You didn’t flinch, you didn’t scream, and you didn’t react to the pain- it was numb.

It was normal.

The screaming, the flying objects, the crying. Everything was normal at this point. Endless fights happening day and night, nonstop, all while you did nothing but feel worse and worse.

“Why are you like this?!” Eric screamed at you as you did nothing but stood there, your face deprived of any emotions. “Why do you always act like you don’t care?!”

You stood there, not a sound escaped your mouth. Eric stares at you in disbelief, his eyes glistening with tears.

“Why don’t you ever fight back?!”

“Why don’t you ever tell them they’re wrong?!”

“Why do you always act like you're completely fine?!”

Eric’s continuous screams echo around the silent house, his questions remaining unanswered. His face was wet, covered in his own tears as he finally stops screaming.

“Why?”

He asks you again, this time in a more gentle way, as if he was asking a baby what they wanted to eat. His eyes were still teary but now they were staring at you with sadness.

But you don’t answer him. You open your mouth to reply but no words formed, as if they were all caught in your throat.

Looking away from you, Eric feels a wave of disappointment hit him.

He’s tried everything- everything to try and save you from your self-hatred.

But nothing worked. Everytime Eric felt like you finally got better, someone would say something and you’d fall right back down the black void. It felt endless- like a rollercoaster. One day you’d feel happy and you’d smile at him with that innocent look in your eyes and the next day you’d be locked up in your room and all Eric could do is sit outside your shared bedroom door and listen to your sobs.

It was tiring. Eric was tired. Being with you is tiring.

“Fine.”

Eric’s voice rings again.

“Fine. Whatever.” Eric let’s out a shaky deep breath, his eyes moving away from your shaking figure before he grabs your hand and puts it against his forehead as he kneeled down in front of you.

“I can’t help you if you don’t want to help yourself y/n…” Eric kisses the back of your hand, then your fingertips, then your knuckles, and finally, he rests your hand against his face. “I love you, please…say something…”

Eric’s teary eyes filled your vision. His touch was so warm against your cold skin. His kisses tickled your hand and you could feel your heart breaking even more.

“I…” Your voice rings in the cold, silent room, making Eric look up to you in anticipation- hoping you’ll finally open up to him. To let him help you out of your dark shell- to let him inside your heart.

“I-I’m sorry.”

Eric looks away from your eyes as a single tear escapes his now cold eyes. He gets up from where he kneeled and he grabs his coat silently.

“Where…where are you going?” You asked him, your voice ever so quiet.

“Out. I…I need to go take a breath…I’ll be back.” Eric shuts your bedroom door.

And you finally let go.

Your knees bent and you fell to the ground, your leg too weak to continue to stand up by yourself. The tears you’ve tried so hard to keep to yourself make their way down your face as little sobs muffled by your hand makes their way out of your mouth.

Your so fucking stupid! Why can’t you ever do things right?!

Why can’t you be more like your older sister?

Are you even my child? My fucking god, how can you and your sister be so different?

God, have you seen her scars? I can’t believe she does that…

The voices of countless people stab you again and again, making you bleed tears. Their words hurting more than what they’d do to you, their words imprinting themselves into your skin and your heart- making them your scars that would never heal.

GOD, I WISH YOU WERE DEAD!

Silently, you crawled up into a small corner and you sobbed into your arms, your crystal tears running down your face, and gently whispered to yourself:

“I wish I was dead too.”

And Eric could do nothing but listen with tears running down his face on the other side of the door.
