Abaddon smiled beneath his helm, the black entrails of misty force seeping from the seams in his armour as he observed the conversation ahead of him. The demands of the estate had kept him significantly preoccupied for many weeks now and just when he had thought he had an opportunity to meditate and relax a little, the mists of fate had pulled at the edges of his mind, indicating the impending arrival of an old Acquaintance. Auraine was much as Abaddon recalled her, tall and lean, bearing bright eyes and a demeanour that indicated capability if not confidence. Letting another moment pass on by, Abaddon stepped from the underbrush much to the surprise of the guard Bartholomew who turned sharply and was mid way through barking an order when he stood at attention. "My lord, I..." Abaddon cute him off with a raised, gauntleted hand. "It is quite alright Bartholmew, Lady Auraine was not on the list of expected guests today and you acted as the Hosue requires. However, Lady Auraine was expected by me as of a few moments ago." He gives Auraine the smallest nod of acknowledgment as he speaks, briefly redirecting his glowing starlight blue eyes to her as he does so. "Now, open the gate." Abaddon commands, turning his attention back to the guard. After a moment the great Iron gates swung open and Auraine turned to Auraine, "Shall we walk lady Auraine?" Abaddon began, indicating for her to follow him into the grounds of Avernus.
Some time had passed since Abaddon and Auraine’s meeting in the woods and their walk. Auraine had not seen Lord Avernus since then, nor had she been anywhere nearby; the drama with the alternate Invoker had ensured that. However, she had inquired with Invoker about visiting an acquaintance in the area, and he had opened a portal for her to traverse back and forth to where she pleased in the area, a safe distance from his tower.
And so Auraine had carefully baked some honeyed bread and moon cakes, wrapped them in a box, and stepped through the portal. The portal had whisked her through the ether and let her out not far from the town Invoker and she had resided on the edge of until recently.
The walk to House Avernus took a while, but Auraine did not mind. Her body was used to the long road, feet calloused, legs strong. What she carried now was light compared to what she used to bear.
Within the hour she could see the borders of the Avernus estate. She had never been this close before, keeping a cautious distance. But she had met Lord Abaddon, and her curiosity had gotten the better of her.  Auraine made no attempt to hide herself as she strode towards the gate. She could already see the guards had clocked her movements and location and were watching her carefully, though had not made a move to intercept her. A few minutes later she stood before the gate, and one of the guards had stepped forwards to speak to her.
“Halt. State your name and business,” one said firmly. Auraine obeyed, coming to a stop. “Oh, uhm.” Auraine had not entirely rehearsed this part, her trip here being somewhat of a lark. She scratched her chin. “My name is Auraine. I wanted to drop by and see if Abaddon was around. We met sometime back and he was kind to me and taught me a little bit about the forest flora and fauna so I wanted to repay the kindness."  "You will refer to him as ‘Lord’ Avernus,” the guard corrected firmly. “Do you have an appointment?” “Uh…” Auraine frowned. “No…but…” Her attention briefly wandered to the space between the bars of the gate, though the guard speaking snapped her back into focus. “I’m afraid Lord Avernus has not informed us of the existence or permitted entry of an 'Auraine.’” The guard tapped his fingers on the polearm he held.  “Now, begone with you."  "Can’t I at least leave these moon cakes and honeyed bread for him?” Auraine piped, biting her lip, her voice rising a bit. The conversation continued, and neither of them seemed to notice the movement in the courtyard behind the gate that would suggest the presence of another…

"She is stalwart individual and I have no doubt she will be a great addition to the cause. Although," Abaddon added hesitantly, "that whistling is rather pervasive."
“Fiiiine, I suppose Marci brings some interesting tricks with her after all. What say the rest of you? I imagine Silencer has finally found the ideal lane partner, hehe.”

Whenever I used to see peoppe incrediably depressed in media. I would alwaya find the costant up and down of those depressed to be a little exagerated. They would be cooking and then tearing up for a couple of minutes before composing themselves and carrying on.
All day, well now I know it's accurate. I am surviving my day to day stuff, in some moments I am even happy! But then I remember my marriage is over, my heart aches.
I have even realised I don't really belong anywhere, I am not really a part of any community strongly and right now, that isolation hurts.

The greymages would like to know about your dating life, Lord Avernus. Please do enlighten us.
Abaddon leaned back in his red upholstered chair and sipped at a small glass of spirit that he had been enjoying for some time now. "You ask a very personal topic greymage, though I suspect you could find most of the information from the servants of the House for it is quite known I have not found a wife yet. At least, not a soul who would stay." his words, while sincere, carried with them a weight of emotion, of mourning for the lost opportunities. "It is common knowledge that I have refused to take the hand of many a fine Nobles daughter, and not without damaging my House and the patience of the House Elders. yet, I do not regret my decisions. I have always... desired to find someone who my heart can belong to, and not be simply a tool for glory or wealth. Then the war of the Ancients came and I realised that if I were to be happy, I would have to find someone in this war." Abaddon pauses and takes a deep brought from his glass, the fine liquor burning his throat and leaving him briefly invigorated. "There is no place for a woman at home, where I would worry and fret and they be without me. No, I want someone by my side on this battlefield and to be in this War only the best are recruited. Unfortunately. I have missed my opportunities." Topping up the glass with a heathy measurement, Abaddon began to reel off the names of those who, at one point or another he had been close too. "Mordred, Traxex, Krobelus, Luna, Tresdin, all of them I have courted, and all of them I have lost, one by one. Some to fate, others to choice. There are no others now, I let the maids gossip, they fretted when Akasha stayed with us for a while, but even they dare not whisper of their lord bedding a demon." Abaddon pauses, before sighing gently. "I do not expect to see any of them again, but that is okay. It clearly didn't matter to them."

CORN MAZE and BLOOD CRUSH
CORN MAZE - who or what would they take into a labyrinth with them? "Would a map of the Labyrinth be allowed? A correct one of course, but assuming that would not be aloud in this particular situation. I would propose I bring along purchase myself a Minotaur in advance to lead me through the maze." BLOOD CRUSH - have they ever been sent into a rage that demanded blood? at which point have they been driven closest to violence? The Lord of Avernus is quiet for a long time before he answers, "only once have I felt such rage, it burned in the mists like a crimson fog. Forces had turned my heart against me, and set her blade to my throat. But it was not to her who I felt the rage." he shakes his head decisively. "No, the rage was to that monster that had put me on this path, a path where the principles of House Avernus were squandered in the pursuit of a false kings power! Violence, war, was the only answer."
