[PREMIERE] Subp Yao - Backwitda (Yoofee Remix)
Unchained presents “The Remixes” compilation, a 16 track exploration of sound, encompassing a slew of fresh music by some insanely fresh talent as well as a collection of the label’s best remixes to date. With a universal roster of artists from China, Europe, UK and the States, the LP continues to forward the label’s aim of discovering and embodying unique forms of fast bass music whilst staying true to the foundations of Drum and Bass.
Representing China, both RADIAX and 3ASIC reinterpret two of the label’s biggest tunes by OAKK and HØST - resonating with elements of rolling DNB, Jump Up, Juke and Hardcore. From the UK, WHINEY, ROHAAN, HØST and ARKAIK deliver various mutations of grit - spanning minimal, glitch, halftime and liquid. Continuing to explore fertile new ground, contributors from Europe also exhibit their rich diversity in all things electronic. From modular wubs to halftime gems to left-field bangers WAS A BE, FRACTALE, BLACK BARREL, KABUKI and SUPB YAO probe fresh hybrid terrain. Stateside, DOCTOR JEEP continues his unfolding journey into Drum’n’Bass whilst SINISTARR meditates firmly on his Detroit roots.
In this premiere we present Unchained remix comp winner YOOFEE offering his outstanding take on “Backwitda”.

Anyone who is an avid listener of Jungle, Drum & Bass, Dubstep, UK Garage and Bass would be familiar with Pete Simon aka DJ Madd - a name synonymous with these genres, boasting an impressive track record of consistent and popular releases that only highlights the tenacity of this producer’s seemingly boundless energy.
Now based in the US, the Budapest-born beatmaker has had his music on respected labels such as Cosmic Bridge, Dub-Stuy, Black Box, and even on our very own FWJ compadre Anna Morgan’s label Worst Behaviour Records amongst many others. This next release from him comes from young and upcoming Hong Kong-based label Unchained Recordings, who’s already hosted a slew of other prominent music producers such as Sinistarr, OAKK and Doctor Jeep on their roster.
His new All Massive EP is a three piece club-selection combination that carries heavy bass-freight across Drum & Bass, Halftime and 140. All three tracks are amazing and charged with heavy funk-etched 808s, Jamaican flavours, rolling percs and just enough darkness to fit like a glove with a well-tuned 3am club sound-system whilst keeping the dance floor charged with full dial grins.

Bastiengoat (Oakland) Featuring a ton of dubs and new tracks, Bay area rave legend Bastiengoat shows off his unique productions for our 60th installment of the footwork jungle exclusive mix series. He currently working on a few new albums to be self released as well as 2 EPs for moveltraxx and worst behavior. Born and raised in the bay area and still living in Oakland CA, Bastiengoat has been producing for nearly a decade, making music his whole life, he also throws events in the bay “I got into electronic music because of jungle (Dillinja remix I heard on a Bjork CD my friends Dad gave me when I was really young and have been hooked since). Got into footwork in 2010 when I heard 'break it down' by DJ Roc. I make and play a wide array of genres, but mainly focus on faster tracks. I am planning a lot of big shows in the bay area throughout the year, but can't speak on them yet. No out of town gigs planned but open to them.
