To give some more specific examples of what I was talking about in the last post I made, for my own selfshipping experience:
I haven’t exactly created much story for this selfship yet, but I want to make an HMDS Cute save file on my phone where I play as my self-insert Emily and marry Skye, so.. whatever the in-game timings of the heart events will be is going to be the canon time those events take place in the story!
Similarly, I think I lost all my Skyrim stuff when I rebooted my laptop, but I want to create a playthrough to go through with Serana, and the details of my selfship with her can be taken from that actual playthrough.
In the second timeline of Reborn, Adriana wins her Gym battle against Ciel with only her Silvally and Roserade left standing, and then evolves her Murkrow into Honchkrow to allow her to fly back to Iolia Valley to see Luna. This is because, when I first got to this point in my own playthrough, I wrote down how each turn of the battle went to be able to write about it most accurately!
In the story of my selfship with Perun, her Core Crystal is found by Mòrag in the Leftherian Archipelago because this is where and by whom Perun was first awakened in the first save file I played that had her in it. (I also have a record of finding KOS-MOS in the exact same location twice in a row!)
My Kingdom Hearts self-insert, Aria, was assumed to be 15 when she was found by Livian in Daybreak Town, 16 when she joined the Sapphires after an incident in her previous party, and 18 when Daybreak Town fell. This is because I was 15 when I met my old best friend (whose self-insert was Livian) through KHUX, 16 when we switched parties and joined the in-game Sapphires together, and 18 when the final story quest released and the servers shut down. I always envision my self-inserts to be the same age as me (because they are all me), so in Aria’s case she “catches back up to me” after being in the realm of darkness since time doesn’t pass properly in there and I can use that as my reasoning.
This one is angsty, but: in my save file of Dragon Quest IX where I played as Ardea and Pavo was in my party, Ardea dealt the final blow to the final boss, but our other two party members (Avalon and Iris) had been wiped out. In canon, you eat the final fygg to become mortal and then the bonus one from the postgame to let yourself see Stella again, but in my version of events, Ardea eats the final fygg to free herself from Celestrian laws, then the bonus one is eaten to bring Iris and Avalon back because they died during the final boss fight.
Stuff like this can really be so fun to incorporate ^-^

I miss you. (post-lesson 16, pre-resurrection. Going on without your loved one sure is difficult, huh...)
My notes as usual
Page 1... The flowers I drew atop the gazebo are supposed to be hyacinth and yarrow (you can also see the hyacinth faintly beside Levi on page 2). Yarrow can be for healing and protection, hyacinth for regret and apology. Putting them together I wanted it to subconsciously mean "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you" ww also apparently depending on color (?) hyacinths can also represent jealousy! Fascinating
The flower crown is made of lilies Yes because yuri of COURSE but also because they're very common funeral flowers
Can't draw the MC's room didn't feel like it but she is in Laz's bed on the last page yeah.
Okay now. Um. Hi everyone sorry for #cringe @kylars-princess @sweethardtz @radahns-cub (<3) @gible-love-nibles @lovinggreeniehours @prismaticuniverses @flowering-darkness @over--heaven @anachrennism @frozenhi-chews @stellarpuppy

it can be important to not only have f/os who are people, but f/os which are places. i don't mean f/o in a romantic sense (although you're valid to feel that way), but in a home sense. i call them home f/os. i think everyone should have a fictional space they love and enjoy where they can escape to without only having a character attached. this can be a whole fictional community you feel at home with, or simply the physicality of a setting that you just love. you can have f/os from this media or none at all. having a personal fictional area that invokes the sense of safety, comfort and being at home gives you the opportunity to step away from reality and feel sheltered and enveloped in a different way that character f/os don't. i feel many people have home f/os without realizing it, but if you don't, think about it! where's your home away from home, in another reality?
pr*ship/neutral please dni
