god, i never thought i’d be writing this about someone who once brought me so much joy and happiness.

my dear moonbin, you are were only 25 this morning when i heard the news... i can’t believe that you have left us. you have left us to be in a better place where you are happier and healthier. or at least that’s what i’m hoping.

you have done so well, so well in this life and i want to say how proud i am of you, you have touched many hearts across the world and sparked joy in us all. thank you for making me happy when you did, my only regret is that i didn’t do anything to make you happy. i’m sorry that you had to go through things alone and i hope that everywhere you are right now is better for you.

i promise that i’m going to keep living for you, experience life the way you would have wanted, spend joy and love to those around me like the way you did.

First reactions to Marvel's 'Shang-Chi' declare it 'phenomenal'

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings had its world premiere in Los Angeles on Monday, finally inducting the titular hero into the Marvel Cinematic Universe after repeated pandemic-induced delays. If the first reactions are anything to go by, it was well worth the wait.

First reactions to Shang-Chi are rolling in now, and it appears to have earned gushing, universal praise across the board. The overwhelming consensus is that Shang-Chi is a "phenomenal" film filled with heart, humour, and "jaw dropping action" ��� and not just by Marvel's standards. It sounds exactly like the fun, action-packed blockbuster we could all use right now. If you weren't already hyped for Shang-Chi, now would be a good time to start.

Photos, videos, paintings—when they come together well, I can feel my imagination opening up. I went to the exhibit showing [impressionist] paintings without reading up on them beforehand. I didn’t have a single bit of background information on the artists or the time period, but I could almost picture the paintings moving before my eyes. So I ended up taking some notes. I have a habit of writing down notes as soon as I see a work of art or hear a song in an unfamiliar genre, like classical or jazz, that strikes me.

I'm all for Stop Asian Hate to stay pinned on the #2 and I get just as frustrated as the next person when it disappears like how it would happen to BLM, but could anyone or someone maybe actually post articles and happenings of the shit happening in Palestine? The shit happening to the Uighur Muslims in China? The riots in Hong Kong? Where's the info about what happened to Nanjing in WW2? What about the Japanese internment camps that took place in Canada? What about meaningful and important info regarding the Vietnam War? What about how the Middle East is essential an abused cash cow for the Wests gas fixation? Child trafficking tourist in places like Thailand?

There's so so so so fucking many horrendous atrocities happening and instead of talking about them all I see is k-pop tags trending and people being upset the stop asian hate tag is gone and not contributing new info to inform people.

I want to be in the know, I want to see and pass the info along to my mutuals so THEY know, but there's nothing to post forward? The only thing I still see on there of legitimate serious info of consequence was the shooting that took place.

Please communicate with us on here and don't just lash out at BLM still being pinned at #1 trending because BLM still disappears from time to time and had disappeared just as much before. Tumblr is a fucked up half baked platform held together with toothpaste for glue riddled with technological sinkholes with unpaid interns trying to fill the gaps and so getting irate with the tumblr staff isn't exactly beneficial to the cause either.

It requires action from it's user base to effectively keep the things you feel important trending. This hell hole is sold for less and less every time it's put on market you can't depend on it to provide the meaningful content you want mentioned for people to care about racial injustice.

Clear example is I've only seen a couple posts peppered here and there about the mass graves of indigenous children on catholic residential school properties. 1000 babies that never got to go home and likely thousands more yet to be found. Where's that unpinned tag?

Be the change you want to see on here and contribute because not everyone has the time to educate themselves or to do the extensive research.

i was having a pretty good day until derek chauvin's mother spoke.

with not one an ounce of sympathy, carolyn pawlenty proceeded to ignore all the pain, tears, and death that her son has caused the floyd family and countless others. instead of apologizing and acknowledging someone else's pain other than her own, she whined about how she believes that her son "has a good heart and he has always put others before own." she even went as far as to say that he was innocent and "a good man." pawlenty also mentioned how she won't get to see her son, or talks to him on the phone, or give him a "special hug." how dare she cry about not getting to see her son when gianna will never get to see, talk to, or hug her father again, because of her son.... when floyd's siblings will never get to see, talk to, or hug her father again, because of her son... when floyd's other family and friends will never get to see, talk to, or hug george floyd again because of her son...

not only did her words enforce the idea that his parents are a large part of the reason chauvin is the horrible person that he is, but they are a perfect example of white delusion and white disregard of the suffering that black and other racial minorities go through and have been going through for centuries.

no carolyn, your son is not a good man. he is not innocent. he is a murderer, and he deserves a lot more than 22.5 years in jail.
