MY GUITAR EXPERIENCE'S FINITUDE ALBUM • A HOMEMADE PRODUCTION BY A BEGGINER GUITAR PLAYER • RELEASE DATE: JAN 30, 2022.
I'm a beginner guitar player, my first guitar experience was exactly during these pandemic years. I didn't have any intentions of creating an album, but as time went by, I decided it would be great to group all of my ideas into one, despite the mistakes. “Finitude” is about life and death. To sum up, it is about someone living a normal life until be surprised by the chaos; surrounded by death and fear, it provokes a reflection on the finitude of things, but that person overcomes all difficulties with hope, in the end. Every track on this album has an almost direct relationship to the pandemic.
It is a homemade production.
I just used my headphone with a common microphone, I just put it in the sound hole and started recording. The guitar effects and anything else was done in softwares such as Adobe Audition and Adobe Première. All I really needed was my simple acoustic guitar, my fake Les Paul and a mini amp. It was a hard work between December and January, after finals, remastering old recordings and another stuffs. To make some different sounds, I tried something like making noises with the fingers and hitting the guitar with hands. These kind of funny sounds and self made sound effects are published on my secondary album “Finitude (OST Album + Extras)”, by the way.

The mind behind of FINITUDE
In the first tracks you have a person living a normal life. “La Routine Quotidienne” and “C’est la Vie” both express the daily routine, life happening... But at a moment, something happens and it shocks the reality. “Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor” precisely make an announcement of what was around, until the moment when the wolves come howling out, in sheep's clothing, in “The Same Old Story”. However, somehow, he get around the situation and, like the Phoenix, he reborn from the ashes and move on, keeping the dance with life, as suggested by “Renaissance”, “On Berry's Mode” and “A Little Jam in A Minor”, until the moment when he stop to reflect (in “Reflection Time”) and face the "Finitude" of life, the conclusion that everything is ephemeral, and nothing here is forever. But, as always, life must go on, as in “Début du Jour”, and once again he bypass the situations by dancing with life, as in “Blues Jam in A Minor”, “Paganini’s Caprice no. 24" and "Debussy's Clair de Lune". Of course, after reflecting on the finitude of things, this new kind of dancing time with life evokes itself an even more reflective tone, perhaps with a little less joyful or just in a more realistic mode.“C’est Noël” – Christmas arrives and brings new reflections, hope and the idea that, somehow, there was always something there, something worth fighting for (“Always There”), that gives strength enough to keep fighting, like "Facing the Fire". This last track is my tribute to those who dedicated their lives fighting the pandemic and to the scientists who researched for the vaccines. Finitude, coincidentally, marks the end of my guitar experience, at least until the next few years.
