The question made him quirk while he met the other man’s glance. “I rarely have solutions to problems and troubles and if I have, they often create more chaos afterwards.” Snorting, Garrett crossed his arms over his chest. “Or perhaps you need to be reminded of the events in Kirkwall?” He wasn’t a great philosopher who tried to find answers to every question in the life. Why would he have any ideas? “Are you not supposed to have all these answers inside your head? Being the Inquisitor’s adviser and everything.”

Why didn’t that surprise him? Probably because he somewhat knew the Champion of Kirkwall, even though some of what he knew came from reports written up by the other templars. “I’d rather you didn’t do that,” Cullen said, holding back the slight growl that wished to weave into his stern tone. He wasn’t looking for the answer to everything, just an answer that would fix what was going on. Instead of feeling lost in their current situation. “No, just the military related ones. Even then I never said I had the answer to everything.” He was good at quick thinking and strategies but he would never want to be the one to think of a way to talk to some noble and get some sort of deal out of them.

The former knight commander glared a little at the other man before turning his gaze away. In all honesty he hadn’t meant for his comment to come out as a complaint. Though he could understand how it might come across as such. “Do you have a solution then?” Cullen huffed, his gaze once more turning to Hawke though this time he didn’t glare. “I would be happy to hear it.” He certainly was having trouble think up one.

Part of him wondered if he wanted to even get involved in this. “Fine,” Cullen huffed out after lowering the hand he had been using to rub the bridge of his nose. “Then at least explain to me what happened exactly.” Because the last thing he needed was for people within their own order to start spreading rumors how some of the mages were attacking their own. Especially since he knew that wasn’t the case at all.

He somehow had a feeling his sister was missing the point. “Yes I was,” he huffed out as his arms crossed. “Roselie, if something is wrong between you and another soldier then I ask that you handle it like an adult. Not with petty pranks.” Because Cullen didn’t have the time or patients to handle such things. He had an army to train and dealing with things like this that his sister has caused. “Why you did even wish to do such a thing to him?” Since now his overprotective elder brother side was coming through.

As he handed over his report on how the Inquisition’s progress was proceeding in the Storm Coast, he couldn’t help but have a proud smile on his face. He was glad to see their troops making some form of progress in both their training and just out in the field. “Our soldiers have secured the roads throughout the Storm Coast,” Cullen explained. “They currently patrol them as well. If you wish, however, there are some that can be moved into the town for more protection against the undead.”
