So you know how the Mass Effect and Dragon Age sequels examine your save files from previous games in order to maintain continuity of choices?

That would be the Ultimate Undertale fan-game. Starting with Patience all the way to Frisk, keeping track of every decision made along the way with every ending from the previous playthrough reflected in the story of the next fallen human.

How different would Yellow be if Integrity played out differently? Since Chujin was in Snowdin, I think he would have seen Integrity and have sent Axis regardless of how Integrity handled the encounter with Dalv and Kanako. Like Undyne, Axis would never be talked out of trying to kill you. The only peaceful way is fleeing.

Maybe if the encounter between Integrity and Kanako ended on good terms, she could convince Chujin to call it off. Or maybe she'd try to defend her new friend and end up getting hurt by Axis, and that's what tells Chujin "hey I might be taking this too far"

That's all well and good for stuff from Yellow, but the previous stories should be taken into account as well, shouldn't they?

Integrity's Axis scenario takes place in Waterfall. Gerson is also in Waterfall. Gerson has Perseverance's items, so it is very likely that he played a part in that story. If Gerson and Perseverance were on good terms, would he intervene? Imagine: Axis is chasing down Integrity, but as soon as they pass by Gerson's shop, they're grabbed and yanked in. "If you wanna keep you're head on, I suggest you get behind the counter and keep quiet, kiddo."

And of course, since Axis doesn't get Integrity here; Chujin doesn't get their soul, which drastically changes what happens in Yellow. That's three campaigns all reflecting each other.

But if Perseverance leaves Gerson with a negative impression, he doesn't step in. Axis chases Integrity until there's nowhere left to run. The only way through is destroying Axis (and probably killing Chujin as well, since he arrives sometime during this and is also notably determined (not that kind)), locking Integrity into a neutral/flawed pacifist route - if Axis even can be defeated. Integrity wouldn't have that shield, after all.

Okay Undertale community:

Since Undertale Yellow, I have been thinking.

UTY placed itself so firmly in the timeline, with so much to say, so much added to the worldbuilding (in a good way), so many wonderful characters, new locations, ect. that I believe we can make a prequel for each of the SOULs.

The hardest to do will probably be Integrity since their story intertwines so well with Clover's, and we hear about their actions at least twice if not more.

The only thing we gotta be aware of is that Flowey absolutely wouldn't exist before this point. He wouldn't have seen any other humans fall down, since Flowey is a more recent experiment. The Amalgamates, too, are relatively new in the Underground's history. So they might not exist.

If we were to create a prequel for Integrity, it should do something similar to UTY and create new characters, new locations, visit the old locations sparingly, and of course, end somewhere before New Home, since each soul made it a bit further and further than the last one.

The difficulty comes, again, with the fact that we know Integrity killed at least one monster- a child, no less- so doing different routes may be a bit weird. But it shouldn't be too bad; only one route is canon, right?

Maybe.

I'd like to propose a question that I don't have an answer to: Who had the ability to save/load/reset before Flowey did? He was the most determined being in the Underground, so it makes sense he got it, and then it was passed on to Frisk when they showed up, but what about before that? Imagine going up against a monster who isn't as determined as Flowey, but comes close.

The question then remains why that monster didn't stop Integrity from killing. Did that monster know they held that power at all?

I'm not here to propose ideas- that's for the fan game creators to handle. But I am absolutely LIVING for the idea that we could LITERALLY build our own canon.

Imagine a fan game for each of the souls, going in reverse order. We start with Yellow (Clover), then go to Integrity, so on and so forth until we get to Patience. Hell, we might even be able to do a Chara's Origins game after that!

If I knew how to program games, you KNOW I'd be jumping at the chance to do something like this. Since I can't, I'll just cheer y'all on from the sidelines should anyone decide to do this.

I might make an askblog or fan comic based on this, idk. Could be fun fgsdh

On today's episode of Attention to Detail I have noticed Undertale Yellow perfectly copied the background of Bratty & Catty's store in Undertale when converting the location from a background sprite for a store menu to an actual overworld room.

I never even noticed the background before.

The chamber is bathed in the almost blindingly bright orange glaring from the Mother Crystal. Maki stands in front of it, his back turned to Leif. Clutched in his left hand is his already drawn sword, it's edge resting on the ground. His right hand raised high towards the Crystal's overbearing light.

"Maki? You're… alive?" Leif takes a tentative step forward. He feels his co-pilot's anxiety rising as he begins to approach, prompting him to stop and take a closer look. His eyes focus on Maki's Mycelial Vest. It looks damaged.

Maki responds in a shaky voice. "Soon you will no longer recognize Us, or Yourselves, or Him, or Her, or Them." Maki tightens his grip on the blade as his other hand clutches the side of his head. "Family is dead. The walls are broken, but -"

All at once, Maki's demeanor shifts. His right hand falls to his side. He straightens his posture, and swiftly turns around to reveal a radiant glow just as it finishes engulfing his eyes. His speech continues without pause, now calm and monotonous. "- yellow and red in the eye. Through a mirror, inverted is made right."

"God damn it!" Leif yells as he draws his weapon.

"Leave your insides by the door. Push the fingers through the surface into the wet." Maki continues, unfazed.

Leif's own anger at losing a valuable ally is dwarfed by his co-pilots frostbitten rage at losing a long time friend. "You fuckers take EVERYTHING! WE'RE NOT LETTING YOU TAKE THIS!"

"You have always been the new you. You want this to be true." Maki raises his blade, and charges.

So I just learned that the Goner Maker background in Deltarune is four images of the ocean in a trench coat. All this Darkness and Ocean and themes regarding fiction and the act of creation using that darkness and entities trapped beyond that darkness affecting reality is giving me major Alan Wake vibes.

Decided to slap these two poems from Alan Wake 2 onto the goner maker background. I feel like they fit in Deltarune pretty well.

Arti the absolute queen <3

Not the happiest with her look but she was the first Scug I properly designed, so mistakes were bound to be made! (The eyelash is there because she is slaying)

I saw some other designs give her a necklace collar thing with the pearl her pup grabbed and I just had to follow the trend! Except I decided she should have an earring instead because she a baddie

Although the Slugcats don't have fur(Aside from Saint) as dev commentary etc and ingame clues give us, I decided that Artificer deserves to have a raggedy fur body. Gives her a more dangerous and worn down feel imo.

I could go into detail behind my thought process but it's midnight here and I'm tired.
