Can I ask what the instruction booklet will be like? Is it just a book of instructions on how to play chess or is there more to it?

Hello! Thank you for your question and interest in our FE3H Chess Zine!

The instruction booklet is both instructions on how to play chess as well as all the artwork in the chess sets! The first part of the book is instructions narrated by our beloved house leaders, and the second part of the book includes the artwork in our zine, including all 39 chess piece designs as well as the artwork used on our tote bags! In total, we expect it to be about 60 full color pages of instructions and artwork.

Black Eagles Design Update!

Due to a recent comment on twitter about potential offensive implications of the Black Eagle design using an eagle imagery in the uniform, the BE chess designs currently shown may be different from the final product as the mods and BE artists discuss how to change the uniform to be less offensive! Thank you for your patience and understanding as we improve this zine to be the best it can be.

hi there! i noticed that preorders are open and im very excited! if its not rude of me, please may i ask about the pricing? i saw that the highest tier is around $500 and i was wondering how production came to those prices? thanks a lot and i wish the project all the best!

Hello! Thank you so much for your question and interest on our FE3H zine!

The pricing for the highest tier was determined by its high cost. For $500, it includes 64 2x3 inch double-sided acrylic standees, which comes out to $7.80 per standee and that doesn’t even include the tote bags, artbook/instructional booklet as well as the chessboard in the pricing! It’s because it has so many goodies that we needed to price it appropriately so that we can fund the project and get everyone custom chess pieces or sets. We have done our best to make the project as affordable as possible with a variety of pricing tiers for everyone interested!

The zine team is hard at work finalizing all designs as we prepare for Preorders! Since the world is currently still suffering the effects of the pandemic and because the holiday shipping rush on top of that might heavily delay production, we’ve decided to push back the preorder dates to Dec 1 to Jan 15. This will give all our brilliant artists time to perfect their work and the mods the ability to put together the best position project for you guys 💞
