conductor-cattaneo:
The stubbornness was waning. Help was needed, but there was still a part of him that kept wanting to insist he could do it himself. What teacher couldnât organize a room on his own? Luca just had to swallow that insistence, and not look a gift horse in the mouth. He listened to the explanation, he nodded as he turned his gaze to begin sorting folders. âThat is rather amazing. Iâm sure it comes in handy often,â he said, smiling a bit. The curious look did make him pause, and Luca looked a touch sheepish. âI forget that. Iâm trying to be used to the change of being a teacher. Mr. Cattaneo would work then.â It seemed like he just kept making little fumbles and blunders, and he was beginning to detest each little mess up.Â
Dahlian smirked triumphantly when the man finally turned around and worked on his own things, signalling that she had won this argument. Honestly, she had no doubt that she would, but humans were quite well known for their stubbornness. Thankfully the manâs back was to her so he could not see the triumphant look on her face at the sign of winning. âIt is quite fun and does come in âhandyâ very often.â She admitted, definitely not willing to hint to the fact that she mainly used her powers for her own gain and entertainment, rarely anything else. While Asgardians are a proud race, they do tend to be a bit quiet when it comes to their own ways of entertainment. She smiled sweetly when the man admitted to forgetting the situation and re-established what she should be calling him. âMr. Cattaneo it is.â Dahlian said calmly, glancing up at him with a now nice, mostly content smile before continuing, âSo, Mr. Cattaneo, what is your favorite instrument?â

âOr just covered up,â she mumbled, taking another bite, âI wonder if thereâs any sriracha around here.â
Dahlian nodded and shrugged at the other girlâs comment, both agreeing and also showing that she had no idea where the sriracha was, let alone what it was. âWhat other foods should we try?â

conductor-cattaneo:
Luca paused when the woman took the folders, but he made no move to get them back. âStill, you do not have to waste time helping me,â he tried to insist and politely decline. He knew he needed help though, even he could admit that. He just wasnât good at asking for help unless that was the only option he had. He looked surprised when a chair appeared, looking it over like he expected the seat to jump at him or something of the sort. âYou can make things appear?â he asked curiously, tilting his head. His focus still returned towards the files, and Luca began to try to help organize them. âI took no disrespect. Iâm not good at being organized but I thought that putting these in- uh in letter order would be good?â he said, forgetting the term he wanted to use, just substituting it. âYou donât have to call me sir. My name is Luca, if you want to call me that?â
Dahlian barely resisted the urge to scoff or shake her head, now the manâs attempt at convincing her not to help him were getting annoying rather than amusing. Honestly, could the other just not accept help when it was offered? Even insisted upon? She smiled at the manâs attempt at explaining her power, if it could even be called that. âThat is a very watered down version. I create illusions and solidify them to my pleasings.â She explained off handedly, looking through the folders and mentally going through the alphabet in her head. At the mention of not calling him sir, the Asgardian looked up at the man, Luca, curiously. âI believe that students are supposed to address teachers as sir or madam, but I have no preference and if you prefer your name, then Luca it is.â

âThatâsâŚthatâs great.â He nodded gently taking a glance at the food on the tray and then looking back up to her. âFoodâs great. I could go for another sandwich if weâre being honest, but Iâm trying to cut back myself.â Julian answered, still smiling all the while. Knowing very little about Dahlian made it difficult to know what was normal, but he went into every conversation with an open mind. âBeen doing swell myself, thanks! I got out of my cast!â He said, lifting his leg up above the table for a spare moment to show her.
Dahlian wondered why the male seemed so, quiet? He didnât seem like the type to be so. Maybe the Asgardian was unintentionally intimidating him? Well, that would be his problem, not hers. Though, he seemed to grow more comfortable as he spoke, his body seeming to relax a bit as well. The Asgardian wasnât sure what she did to make him suddenly comfortable again, but she was glad for the change. âI can see that! Now are you going to swim in the pool they have here? I am aware you were quite upset to miss out on swimming during the vacation.â

âNot really,â Eunhye told him quietly, finally dragging her attention away from the cell phone. There wasnât a lot to do in Busan outdoors besides the beach and Eunhye had always been more comfortable inside a lab instead of out. âShould I be doing something out here instead of trying to contact my parents?â
âThat is a shame, nature is amazing.â Dahlian mumbled, heâd always been a fan of nature, Asgardian nature to be specific. Honestly, midgardian nature is nice, much more, well, safe? Nah, that doesnât sound right. Maybe itâs simply boring. But, then again, that doesnât quite seem to fit either. Though, it didnât seem as if this midgardian girl cared much.âIf you are having difficulties, I would suggest going inside. You must have your own personal room, surely service is better in there.â

âIt doesnât seem like there are any,â she agreed, taking another bite of her meal, âI was told itâd be spicy too.â
âIt is amazing how things can be well hidden just by other foods.â Dahlian mumbled, continuing to eat her own meal with a smile.Â

Dahlian raised an eyebrow at the boy, no heâs technically a man by human standards, and barely resisted the urge to laugh or frown. She may not have been a great warrior back in Asgard, but even she knew when to ask for help. Of course she never did, but the point is that she knew when to. âYou are no bother sir, I would not offer if I did not mean to help.â She explained taking the folders with a smile. Though, instead of doing the âhumanâ thing and sitting in a normal chair, the Asgardian waved her hand and a nice, comfortable chair appeared behind her. Happily taking a seat, and making herself at home, Dahlian looked down at the files and began to organize them. âI mean no disrespect, sir, I was simply attempting to make you feel better about the situation.â
Luca raised an eyebrow, a bit surprised by the offer. He didnât plan for the possibility of receiving any help, hadnât even considered it. Even still, he smiled a bit. âI can handle the most of it. I just have to put in some work. I wouldnât want to bother anyone for help,â he assured. âStill. I would not mind help ah⌠Putting these folders in letter order?â he offered the request, wording it the best he ould. Being giggled at made him frown briefly, but Luca was soon enough reassured. âWell, I have only recently arrived. So I donât think Iâll be put together for a while. Itâs very different than what Iâm used to at home.â

Dahlian took a long drag of his cigarette, as if contemplating the girlâs words, but really he just didnât care. He blew the smoke out slowly, enjoying the burn in his lungs, before shrugging and replying with, âAnyone ever tell you to enjoy the outdoors?â
âThereâs less of a chance I can call anyone there,â she mumbled. She glanced up at the stranger before looking back at her phone, âif I could get a signal here.â

Dahlian nodded, grabbing a napkin and cleaning the food from her face before speaking. âNo, I can barely taste the spice, are you sure there are peppers in this?â
âNot terribly spicy, is it?â Cindy asked with a laugh, handing her a napkin,

Dahlianâs smile only widened, stretching across the plains of her face. The way he stuffed his cheeks with food reminded her of those adorable little creatures that used to perch on the branches of the tree in front of her old apartment, they had a name, but it escapes her right now. âI am doing great, starving if that is not obvious enough.â She said, gesturing to her tray of food before continuing, âHow have you been?â The Asgardian wasnât sure if the boy would remember her or even know who she is because, if she remembers correctly, the last time they interacted, she was in her male form. Does not matter though, this makes things easier for her.Â
âHelloâŚâ Julian said through his stuffed cheeks, lingering out the word for a moment before chewing up his bite and swallowing it down. âHowâs it going?â He gave a simple smile in her direction, waggling his brows slightly. He set his sandwich back onto his tray and looked over Dahlian. He knew just the tiniest bit about her, if even that much, but that didnât stop him from leaning in a bit more to really get into the conversation.

In Dahlianâs defense, he hadnât âburst intoâ the room, heâd actually knocked. But he does not know how the man saw his entry, nor does he care. The Asgardian didnât see why the man was dressing himself, or rather why he was doing it so quickly but, again, did not care. Something about this man made his everything unattractive to Dahlian. âMay I play with her for a bit?â
People bursting into his room was fairly normal for him, they always thought he was doing something suspicious, but they never asked about his dog. âPeanut Butter? Y-yeah, sheâs around here somewhere.â He quickly finished buttoning his shirt, and went to look around his room for the dog.

Dahlian nodded, now starting to understand the manâs reasoning. Being an Asgardian meant that she was built to be, well, built. Of course eating as much as she does wasnât helping, but she doesnât care for that. âAnything interesting ever happen while you were out on one of these runs?â
âWell, I could, but I get bored very quickly. I enjoy a new route when I run, itâs more stimulating. Some people prefer to use a treadmill, but Iâm more of an outdoors type of guy.â

Dahlian looked at the man curiously, as if analyzing his entirety then narrowing her as as she focused on his words. âWould you like some assistance?â She wasnât exactly number one at organization either, but she could help the man. Plus, itâs an easy way to snoop around without someone yelling at her. She giggled when he mentioned his impression, his first impression, which wasnât that great, but she didnât care much of it. âIt is alright, when I first arrived here I was not very âput togetherâ like most others were.â She explained, talking about her first time coming to earth, but he probably thought that she was talking about when she first moved into the school. âIt is not a bad first impression, an amusing one, but not as horrid as I am sure you are feeling.â
Luca could feel his face flush a bit, though he looked around the room himself. It did look like a hurricane had come through and torn half the place up. He could only let out a dejected sigh. âI donât think I am sure anymore,â he admitted after a moment. He wasnât the best at organizing, so just trying to teach himself to be organized now wasnât working out too great. He to the shelf before him, tidying up the papers, before looking to the Asgardian. âAh, well, hello then. I hope this isnât a horrid impression like I feel it is,â he said, letting out a soft sigh. He really hoped he was better a fit than he currently felt he was.

Dahlian tried not to smile too much as the boy conversed with the girl he believed to be real. Well, she seemed normal enough, but that was because Dahlian is good with his illusions. The Asgardian wondered how far he should take this, maybe not that far, because this boy didnât have any interesting reactions. âNot yet.â Thought Dahlian to himself, waving a hand behind his book and forcing the girl to change her tactics. Like a puppet, the girl stood up, smiling flirtatiously as she made her way over to the boy, stopping only when she was a few feet away from him. The next second, she lunged at him, her bottom jaw disconnecting so he could open her mouth fully, like a snake, revealing large canines that had replaced all of her teeth. Then, just before she reached the boy, just before she sunk her teeth into his skin, she disappeared in a cloud of purple smoke. Dahlian lost it, trying very hard not to laugh, but failing miserable.
Kyle looked over his shoulder as he felt a piece of paper hit his back.
âDarling, Iâm trying to work here. If you want my attention all you have to do is ask.â He said seemingly annoyed, but there was an obvious smile playing around his lips.Â
