of course his TROUBLED MIND is now distracted by beauty. he has always had interest in space & the stars. to have a miniature GALAXY floating above his bed is jaw dropping. a hand will reach up slowly, bony index finger extended to POKE some of the cluster. it feels somewhat WARM TO THE TOUCH, but not frighteningly so. mouth hangs ajar, gray eyes fixed on the stars. hand then begins to curve around the cluster, pulling it closer. it’s odd— he wonders if they are moving up in space, too, just as he plays with them now. “ wh——– at if i LICKED ‘EM…. “

❝ ........ ❞ the star says nothing for a good while, just tries to let rudi lay there and calm himself down gradually with the aid of her power to produce clusters of stars. the little clouds like little maquette’s of the real thing. a little squeak sounds and orion twists, strands of twinkling lights curling around her forearm and fingers as she did -- eyes bright & cheeks a pinky red. ❝ rudi -- n-no !! y’can’t lick em ! they’re...not ..no, they dun’ like ta’ be licked....just no. ❞ confused chirping ! ❝ y’can kiss ‘em...though...they like th-that... ❞

(☾☆) — ❝I know it sweetheart. I believed in you then and I believe in you now. I always will, love.❞ Once someone makes it into Rosemary’s heart it is very difficult to carve themselves out. She will love and care for them unless they give her a reason to think they are not deserving of it. ❝Hardly! You can always keep growing as long as you have the right attitude. I thought like you and I didn’t even get to be five feet tall, so please take my advice.❞ Her words are all in good fun and it is evident by how she can hardly keep a straight face. In between each word her smile cracks a little more, or she starts to laugh. ❝Well what do you want to know?❞ She is not inclined to keep anything from him since she hopes he will do her the same courtesy.

❝ ....thanks....for that... ❞ it’s a quiet thank you, one which hardly passes the boys lips as his head bows and brown eyes filled with sadness focus on the bowl of pasta rather than rosemary’s lovely face. she always worried about him, more than levi even worried for himself -- and it sucked when he saw her hurting because of his stupid decisions in life. ❝ well i guess if you put it like that... ❞ levi picks up a chunk of ciabatta from the bread basket and shoves it in his mouth, an appreciative noise sounding through each laborious chew taken to digest it. ❝ well....i mean...shit ugh- --- everything....you never told me where y’come from or...where y’work or...what you do in y’spare time other than taking care of my ass ‘n’ aristotle’s... ❞

he didn’t have to. he really didn’t have to but when he does she carries herself from where she is to sitting down next to him. what – what is she supposed to say? “le - i’m so sorry. i..–.you don’t have to say anymore. i – is there anything i can do?” she’s looking at him even though he’s not looking at her ; it doesn’t change how she feels about him. not at all. tiny hands reach out for his nervous ones to try and soothe him with just a little bit of warmth without causing suspicion. He’s being so honest with her and here she is – telling another lie. It was to keep him safe. That’s what she tells herself. “I should have told you. I’m sorry. That’s..–what Romo is for. To keep me safe.”

he did, she had made him feel as if he must share his past with her -- that he was doing wrong by penelope for not sharing painful memories of his childhood with her. levi had thought he’d spare her the miserable stories. ❝ no. there’s nothing you can do --....there’s nothing anyone can do to erase the past and change it for me. what happened....happened and i think....i’ve turned out pretty good under the circumstances... ❞ he’ll try to smile but nothing much comes from it, just a small twitch of tanned lips & then brown eyes flicker back down to focus on penelope’s hands. ❝ It’s fine....some things....----are better left unsaid. and as long as you are safe at the end of the day... ❞ because levi knows as much as he wants to be able to, he can’t be the one to keep her 100% safe in the end. ❝ that’s all that matters to me. ❞

Ouch !! Roman can feel the regret creeping up his collar, the taste of his own mistake shoved back into his throat. Never has he insulted someone so badly. “ Oh – jesus, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to – “ He cuts himself off, hands finding solace in his pockets low on his legs while he seems to keep sinking lower into his seat. “ I DID NOT mean it like that, lady. I mean– what’s wrong with dogs? They’re cute and.. uh. FUCK, I’m sorry. “

❝ ....--- ❞ eyes which had filled with an ugly black slowly filtered back to their natural green state and milo’s pinched together eyebrows relaxed again. -- her small shoulders rolled back as she let out a quiet sigh. GOOD, he had apologised, that was a smart move on roman’s behalf, an angry milo wasn’t particularly a good milo to be around. god knows what she’d do in the midst of a temper tantrum -- burning buildings down was the usual outcome. ❝ s’nothin’ wrong with dogs, but being compared to one ain’t nice. ❞ a huff rolls from the demons nostrils and she’ll wave a hand at the other as if to say ‘don’t worry about it’ ❝ s’okay, i suppose i can forgive you. besides...as much as it’s CUTE t’see y’grovel...it ain’t that cute. ❞ she’ll reach across the table now, grabbing the others hand and patting at it quickly -- the heat from milo’s fingers possibly leaving a mark on his skin once pulling away. ❝ y’want some bacon cheese fries ? ❞
