This past week was my last week of classes! I only have two more finals to do and then I am free from the spring semester! Which honestly has led to relief and an urge to write more creatively!

This snippet sunday is going to be related to this past WIP Wednesday! Which included a snippet of the first chapter of Heavy Metal Lover and some fic recs!

HML: Velvet + Adrenaline

“Ready to get yourself killed this time?” Naeva had her arms crossed and her legs stood wide apart. She was eyeing the state Ghoul was in but didn’t say anything instead her mouth was within a tight line. A bit of dismay but who was Naeva to argue?

“They wish.” Ghoul had a wistful tone in her voice and she stretched her arms above her head. She knew she was tearing a few wounds open but with the drug flooding her system it only felt like a few burning scratches. “Who’s up next? Any worthy challengers?”

“Sure.” The short response from Naeva was accompanied with an eye roll. The rough woman held her hand out waiting for Ghoul to hand over her loose belongings. There was only one weapon for each challenger allowed within the cage and it was whatever the crowd ended up throwing in. Ghoul gave up her belongings, handed her light armor, and even some of her hidden knives. She was about to give up her newly acquired velvet bag and as Naeva reached for it, Ghoul drew back quickly.

“Don’t let any of these fuckfaces get their grimy hands on this.” Ghoul tried to sound threatening, but it was hard with how light her body felt. It seemed like her point got understood through as Naeva slowly reached for it and then tied it to her own belt. A gesture signaling that she would protect it with her life. Naeva stepped to the gate and opened it letting the first challenger in before motioning her hand for Ghoul to follow suit. Ghoul rolled her shoulders and tried to loosen the tightness in her neck. The aurora may have been making her body feel lighter, but it didn’t absolve all of the tension in her body. She was only another step away from the cage when she felt a tight grip yank on her wrist, it twirled her to face the opposite direction.

“Is this what you’ve been fucking doing all night?” A familiar growl led Ghoul's eyes to a dark mustache and faded stubble on a rounded jawline. The color of red adorned on his scarf seemed to dominate his face for a moment and she had to blink to readjust her eyes before all the pieces in the Delgado puzzle came together. She ripped her arm from his grip and rubbed where his hand was softly ebbing the tingle away.

“Like you care.” She flipped her green hair behind her shoulder and ignored his fiery glare that demanded answers. Ghoul may have been more agreeable to social interactions with the drug in her system but still was unwilling to submit to his demands. Aurora took off the edge but didn’t turn her into a puppet. She stepped into the cage and before Delgado could step in to interfere Naeva closed the gates with a snarky smile.

“Sorry Del, I have a few creds on her that’d I like to cash in.” Her body guarded the caged door triggering Delgado to give his second in command a sinister glare before it turned back onto Ghoul. Ghoul waved cheekily before twirling to face her new opponent.

Hi! I'm Decol!

TLDR: I can't work cuz I'm disabled meaning my trans gf is our family of 3's only income.

To try and help with bills, rent, and other needs I set a goal to try raising through Tumblr. It isn't much, but it's the help I can offer her so that's what I do.
