Tumblr reblog chains are in danger.

It seems that the staff is actually going to go forward with their decision to remove reblog chains, where reblogs will basically work like regular comments on other websites.

This doesn't just make the site completely unusable, it removes the soul of the community that has managed to build up here over the years, and that I'm so happy to have recently joined.

It makes impossible the creation of great posts where many people build up a single thing, until it is a gem of expressed human creativity.

There will be no more world heritage posts, no more messing around with your mutuals, no posts worth remembering.

There will be no more Tumblr, and the Tikblr or TumbTube or whatever monstrosity is born from its corpse will soon die, as is probably the best. And then there will never be another place like this on the internet, no place anymore to run to, no more fun, no more community.

I recommend a simple course of action. When these changes get imposed upon us, stop using Tumblr. Get your mutuals' discords, your favourite artists' websites, and leave. If the Tumblr we have once known returns, we well too. If not, better let it die quickly than suffer a long and painful decline.

I beg you to reblog this, for the more people see it, the higher chanses are for this to work.

And add something, so we can show them what Tumblr is really for.

i rlly want the s4 specials or the possible-but-not-improbable s5 to touch on how undervalued macaque was by the brotherhood

he told them crossing the jade emperor would have consequences (to which he was ignored by sun wukong and DBK + insulted by peng), and he told them they should consider all their options before making hasty decisions like trying to strike sun wukong down (to which he got ignored AGAIN)

you wanna know what the kicker is?

in both instances he was right; their conquest to overthrow the jade had some MAJOR consequences, like losing sun wukong (and also possibly DBK? because he isn't present during their meeting in episode 5 or walking through the desert with them and helping them create camel ridge in episode 8 but idk cus they all seemed rather surprised that DBK had started a family with PIF in episode 9); and whatever decision they came to in episode 5 clearly didn't amount to much given that they lost the battle at camel ridge and were sealed away in the scroll

they could've avoided all of that had they just listened to macaque from the get go. my man had some pretty valid points! but he was torn down at every. single. turn.

and then they don't even put that much effort into finding him in episode 9. the most they do is have peng 'sniff him out' or some shit and when that doesn't work they just... don't care? like. oh well! sure is a shame we couldn't find the guy who can turn into a giant kaiju and form an army of clones! im sure that wouldn't be of ANY use to us in the upcoming battle against heaven itself.

like. we might've permanently lost sun wukong to the scroll, and ruined any and all chance at recruiting DBK but its fine. it's all FINE. lets even leave red son alive to SEND. a MESSAGE. to fking HEAVEN ITSELF about our arrival. y'know. just to give 'em a polite heads up??

writing this out is making me realise just how ballsy their plan was like holy fucking shit. they had just lost 2 major players, were severely outnumbered, had all the odds stacked against them, and they still. STILL weren't bothered to look just a little bit harder for macaque

hell, just after sealing DBK away in episode 9, yellow tusk says they lost all hope of reforming the brotherhood. so they don't even consider macaque as part of the brotherhood. at least, not important enough to give a quick glance at flower fruit mountain. because fuck you peng he was right there. he was! right! there! jfc guys.

also, i couldn't rlly fit this in anywhere but i think its interesting that wukong (who is probably the only reason macaque was ever even involved with the brotherhood in the first place) doesn't do jackshit when peng insults macaque in episode 2 because he was preoccupied

I need to know more about how the Brotherhood views Macaque. They seem to value DBK as an equal but only Wukong and Peng seem to really acknowledge Macaque. Macaque is seen (at the very least) as close friend of Wukong's, if not Wukong's best friend. Wukong took the time to reassure him that they'll still end up eating peaches together like they planned when Macaque didn't seem convinced of the plant to take over heaven. And Wukong was the one to single out Macaque and tell him that the two of them would be taking on heaven together, like any other adventure.

Peng, on the hand, seems to take every opportunity he has to belittle Macaque by frequently calling him weak and almost dismissing any value Macaque holds. Neither Azure nor Yellow Tusk really react to Peng, neither telling him to stop or encouraging him when Peng insults Macaque. When Azure recounts happy memories with MK, Macaque isn't seen feasting with them, but DBK and the others are.

DBK doesn't seem to acknowledge Macaque either but they don't seem close as neither of them reference each other or visit each other since post-JTTW.

DBK was probably semi-content to leave the Brotherhood after falling in love with PIF and creating a new family. Maybe still having some kind of positive or neutral relationship with Wukong up until Wukong trapped him under a mountain.

Macaque may have left because he had no friends in the Brotherhood after Wukong was captured. They were probably Wukong's friends, not Macaque's.

Another Spicynoodles LMK AU/Fic prompt

SWK starts calling MK his kid and everyone officially recognises MK now as the monkey kings kid…

Everything seems normal until he next battle against Red Son DBK shows up shocking MK and Red Son, SWK shows up asking why he’s here and DBK says now SWK has adopted the little theif as his child they need to start with wedding planning.

SWK, MK and RS are all super confused and DBK reminds SWK of one night ages ok when he agreed that if he every had a kid they would be engaged to Red Boy…

Red Son and MK are both embarrassed and confused and ‘Oh Gods….AM I GOING TO MARRY MY CRUSH…but wait he doesn’t like me like that’ and a lot of internal screaming (It takes until right before the wedding for them to realise that they like each other back)

SWK is arguing that NO that is not legally binding…ok yeah it looks official but… I’M CALLING MY LAWYER.

Which leads to

SWK*on phone to lawyer*: WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT IS LEGALLY BINDING??
