aboriginal australians are the most incarcerated people in the world, by percentage of their population. overrepresentation of traditional owners in the australian criminal justice system continues to rise each year. a short summary of some ways you can help:
listen. the importance of listening to the stories and experiences of first nations people cannot be measured.
educate. non-indigenous people must take initiative in learning about aboriginal history and the persistence of racism in modern australia.
donate. there are countless worthwhile organisations and causes that need support.
sign petitions. they work towards amplifying the voices of those that need to be heard most.
