ok when i was reading ur fic i was pronouncing cecil like see-sill (similar to how i would say seesaw ((like the thing on a playground))) but ive ben listening to the virginf auicides audiobook and ralized it might be pronounced like cecilia without the a ??? am i stupid be honest

so I think Americans generally pronounce this name “see-sil” like you said but Cecil is a good Yorkshire boy so it’s “sess-ill” please and thank you. sort of to rhyme with “vessel” x

not my ttpd cardigan arriving already…. if you were on the fence about buying it: it’s actually really soft and comfortable, I can’t bear itchy clothes but this is very nice to wear! I usually wear a UK 8/10 in tops and the M/L is nicely oversized on me (although these are always going to be a bit boxy on us tall girlies). it’s definitely a blue-grey rather than grey grey. quality seems pretty decent to me after all the 1989/speak now quality issues.

for anyone who’s been following my bitching and moaning about this for the past however many months, I wanted to post an update in case this helps somebody else. after a few dead-ends I’ve found out that I’ve got PMDD which wasn’t something I’d even heard of until recently. and I just wanted to say that if you have problems with your period that are so severe you’re having to organise your whole life around it, that isn’t normal and I would urge you to speak to your doctor about it. keep a detailed diary of symptoms, this really helps! my doctor was even able to provide information for my employer around workplace accommodations that will help me manage my shit.

I put up with this for longer than I needed to because we are taught to minimise these things but you mustn’t - a little discomfort before your period is one thing but pain that’s so bad it makes you ill and mood swings that are so severe you’re struggling to function aren’t normal and you don’t have to put up with that!

period due this week so I’ve spent the whole weekend crying hysterically and being unable to sleep because of back pain and also fighting the urge to delete everything I’ve ever written because my mind tells me it’s dog water and shouldn’t exist

just cooked, ate and washed up the contents of a Sunday sausage sandwich, contemplating my fave ts album… brain hurts… voted and still feel like what if it was the right choice lmao. but i am also a huge robin fan. it’s funny cause the main other person who i know likes her (my sister) keeps talking about the real stuff/people the songs are about, and I’m like wow my knowledge of pop culture is weak lol. just making up my own little sceneries to these sad tunes. what are your major thoughts atm

would love a sausage sandwich right now. my unfiltered stream of consciousness thoughts right now are: this might end up in my top 3 alongside folklore and evermore, it’s so sprawling and deep and layered and I think the sheer size of it is kind of the point so when people are saying it needs editing down I’m just like no I don’t think that’s right. I’m not the same person I was on Thursday. the albatross robin the prophecy down bad the manuscript but daddy I love him fortnight ttpd Cassandra I look in peoples windows Clara bow so long London…. so many standouts I can’t whittle it down right now! I think I fancy post malone. I wonder if she will incorporate this album into the tour and if so how. unfortunately I too have your sister’s knowledge of the lore. I can understand how this album won’t be for everyone and might be divisive but the girls that get it get it etc. and I for one am glad the glitter gel pens got left in the Midnights era.

woke up to the chilling realisation that one of the reasons this album cuts so deep for me is that I too have lost my mind over a long-time pseudo-romantic friendship turned into a messy season-long situationship with a sad ending that ultimately scarred and permanently changed me as a person. twice!
