Enjoy both bus and walking tours in and around the Atlanta area and check out locations where the show is filmed with fellow fans.
Lawrenceville Ghost Tour (Lawrenceville). Every night in Oct. $12+/$9+. A popular year-round tour that departs from the Aurora Theatre, features tales based on local legends handed down over the decades or recent paranormal investigations, professional storytellers will regale you with stories that will send a chill down your spine. Lawrenceville is the oldest city in Metro Atlanta, which means lots of history!
Roswell Ghost Tour  (Roswell). Tours every night in Oct. $15/$10 kids. This 2.5 hour walking tour visits historical sites in the city with all real stories! Special guests join the tour like psychic Chip Coffey and the Ghost Brothers.
A Tour of Southern Ghosts (Stone Mountain). 10/17-27. $12/$8 kids. $15 parking permit. A favorite annual event, A Tour of Southern Ghosts is a storytelling festival that showcases the best ghost stories from the South. Ghosts of Marietta (Marietta). All Year Long. $17/$12 kids. Year-round 90 minute walking tour that adds more tours in October for Halloween. Choose from different experiences - The Haunted Walking Tour, Haunted Pub Crawl, Ghosts and Grieving Tour and the Scaryetta Trolley. Decatur Ghost Tour (Decatur). Multiple dates in October. $15/$12 kids. Year-round two-hour walking tour starting in downtown historic Decatur square. Visit the oldest homes and buildings in the area with tour guide Boo Newell, a psychic medium and paranormal investigator.
Capturing the Spirit of Oakland Halloween Tours (Atlanta). October. The most popular ghost tour in town, this event sells in months in advance so if you missed out this year - put this on your radar for next year and sign up for updates via Oakland. Also, if you become a member of the Historic Oakland Foundation, you get access to tix before they are on sale to the general public and is a great way to support this important Atlanta landmark. Order a King Cake - Be the hit of your office by ordering an authentic King Cake from local bakery Henri’s or McEntyre’s. Both spots have great options, McEntyre’s is based in Smyrna and features one size that services 15-20 for $32.99. Must order 24 hours in advance!!
For Henri’s - they have several locations, including a new spot on the Westside. Just call them up and let them know what size - they have medium and large cakes starting at just $27.99 + tax. Also highly recommend pre-ordering as early as possible, that way you’re guaranteed a cake and the size you want. Both offer some in the shop for walk-ins, but don’t leave your happiness up to chance. Be on the lookout for the plastic baby hidden inside its cinnamon folds!
Honeysuckle Gelato is getting in on the action this year with a limited edition Praline Cheesecake King Cake gelato sandwich!! Available Friday 3/1 - Tues 3/5. The #MardiGras themed sandwich features hints of cream cheese, bits of New Orleans-style pralines all pressed between two cookies. And just a like a King Cake, there will be a hidden plastic baby! Those who find the hidden baby will receive a year of luck and one free serving of Honeysuckle Gelato.
Mardi Gras can be celebrated anywhere, so why not Atlanta? Laissez les bons temps rouler!!
