Personal stuff and my reason for posting this poem under the cut

My uncle passed away today. I first read this poem on his wall when I was a teen. He had two or three different copies of it, hung up around his place, nice calligraphy prints. It clearly meant a lot to him. We sat and talked about what it meant and watched Star Trek together. I proceeded to memorize it over the course of the next week. I remember him laughing, delighted that I’d taken the time. I hadn’t talked to him in a while, but we got along well. Comfortable in the peace of silence. I’m going to miss him. And I’ll always remember him when I think of this poem.
