Motivating myself and getting back to my old habits.
I’ve gone to different articles and videos tackling about creative pursuits and all of them pretty much say the same thing: “Practicing creative pursuits every day will make you happier.” And as you know,  I’m all about seeking happiness (and I think everyone does the same)
The past few weeks were spent rekindling with my old hobbies. There are times though that I procrastinate and I feel like I need enough motivation to just get out of bed and get lost with my creativity and ideas. It's not about the result; it's about the everyday maintenance of my quality of life and of expressing myself. In order to kick off my creativity I decided to make a list of the things that I love and enjoy doing.

“In art, at a certain level, there is no ‘better than’. It’s just about trying to operate for yourself on the most supreme level, artistically, that you can and hoping that people get it. Trusting that, because of the way people are built and how connected we are, greatness will be translated and symmetry will be recognized.” – Frank Ocean

The funnest film that I had seen in a long while! If you are fan of basketball from the 80's and early 90's then this is the film for you. It was just a pleasant film. It wasn't angry and complex. It was easy and fun and left me feeling good and sometimes that is all I need from the cinema. I saw this last sunday with my boyfriend and was glad that we did.
Uncle Drew is much better then I was expecting - Its about a young basketball coach who’s trying to win a streetball tournament and as a last ditch effort recruits several senior citizens to play in it. It’s based on a Pepsi commercial I think and it’s a flawed movie for sure but it’s also a pretty decent African-American comedy and more importantly a good sports movie for basketball. There were some moments in this that were truly heartfelt and that’s where the movie really shines.
The lesson was/is/will always be that you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.

Kick back and take some time out to review your goals and recharge for the next half of the year by indulging in some much needed -TLC. Try these DIY treatments that’ll make you feel good (and pampered) all over.
so Imma teach you
How to... Give Yourself a facial
First, cleanse your skin. Start off with a gentle, mild cleanser to get rid of “superficial” dirt and grime on your face.
Then, exfoliate your skin to get rid of impurities that can’t be seen on the skin surface. When exfoliating, concentrate on your T-zone and also on your chin as these areas have pores where dirt easily seeps in. Massage these areas gently, then rinse off. Make sure to get rid of residue.
It’s time to open up your pores. Fill your sink or get a pan with warm water, dip a wash cloth and press the damp cloth onto your face. DO this 2 to 3 times to ensure your pores are ready to be declogged.
Next, put on the facial mask of your choice. If you have oily skin, use a clay mask that you can peel off after. If you have dry skin, use a gel or a cream based one as it has moisturizing properties. Generally, normal and/or combination skin any can use any facial mask.
The last step in your at home facial is to moisturize. Again, pick a moisturizer according to your preference (anti-aging, revitalizing for dull looking skin, whitening etc.) and your skin type. Smooth in on using gentle, circular motions on your face and neck.  (Note: Use eye cream first before putting, on moisturizer to make sure you keep crow’s feet away.)
Tip 1: Write down the steps ( cleanse, exfoliate, steam, mask, moisturize) on a pos it note on your bathroom mirror so you won’t forget.
Tip 2: Never forget to put on SPF before going out when it’s still light out! With global warming more prevalent, you have to protect your skin even more from the sun’s harsh rays.
To complete your mid year break, Nothing gets any better than giving yourself a Mani- Pedi ♥

As my lack of posts (and completely disregarding my posting schedule) may give away, offline I’ve had a lot going on. While there have been some wonderful things that have really put a smile on my face, there’s also been some moments I had just want to curl up in a ball and eat all of the chocolate in the world. So with this in mind, as I’m heading off for a weekend away with my boyfriend or friends this weekend, I thought it would be the ideal time to focus on the positives. The past months was filled with good memories with my loveones that I’m very grateful of; Highlights of my April, May and June were:
I have an awesome team after our hosp reshuffle.
My boyfriend graduated his degree and I was there to be a part of his big day ♥
My previous team and I had an outing at Mnl.
I get to be there to celebrate my bfs sister’s birthday
We had an unforgettable Summer staycation, Pico de loro experience
We had to visit a very fun and sweet museum.
My boyfriend gave me the best give everr, A baby dog named Maki ♥
We had a celeb at work for the departure of mam nikki and si jee.
Been part of my soul sis’ wedding day as her bridesmaid.
Here’s to the Chill, benign and fun duty all the way ♥
Most of all, So thankful for my recovery to chicken pox, it was hella depressing. I had to be on sick leave for 2 weeks. But moreover, Its what inspired me to restart my life all over again, I had a half yeaar full ticking off my bucket list. Now its time to fully polish my Self development plan for the next 6 months. Wish me luck! i’ll be on this new project entitled “Best” Alindog- program (more upgraded version of balik alindog ~ been there done that) so Ill be makin something more exciting and life changing! Life starts at the end of your comfort zone, so it is time to step outside the comfort zone and make yourself into the Best Version of you that has ever existed.

Life is indeed beautiful and wonderful. Thus, exploring more of myself through travels is one of my goals as I enjoyed my years being in 20s. With that said, Nothing was more rewarding than spending my summer staycation this year at Pico de Loro Cove at Hamilo Coast, Nasugbu, Batangas.
I had never thought of visiting this admired property too soon but I was so lucky to be given a privilege to visit this upscale destination and spend a night along with a loved one. It was a weekend of relaxation, exploring new things and appreciating more of Mother Nature. It was a superb getaway that I’ve been looking forward way way way back.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A day is not enough to explore Pico de Loro Cove as there are so many things to do here. You can have your personal leisure time while the Pico de Loro Beach and Country Club offers an extensive range of indoor and outdoor activities such as swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, billiards, cove tours, tennis, volleyball, basketball, bowling, videogame, music room and even fitness center.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I didn’t know how to play  billiards, but boy my boyfriend was an awesome mentor. He was strict. But I get to learn how to strike at the first set! Haha!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But, if you’re like me, lounging at the beach and appreciating nature’s beauty are more than enough.
Tumblr media
enjoying life to the fullest, hi there travel buddy!
Tumblr media
Just in time for dinner in Lagoa Restaurant  where we feasted on Adobong Pusit and Chicken Teriyaki, and myghad we’ll definitely come back for these delicious delicacies! This is the best getaway I had so far. It was very relaxing getaway. It was more of spending quality time with my man, with great foods, and great views, in a superb place. I am looking forward to visit Pico de Loro Cove and the other coves anytime soon. We had an awesome Pico de Loro Cove experience!

It was one sunny Sunday when our feet brought us to this artsy fansy place in Antipolo City. I have been hearing great stories about this awesome place that made me so eager to pay a visit.  It’s something that we both wanted to do as early as last year but just haven’t had the chance to until last weekend. I am so happy to tick off Pinto from my bucket list!
The artworks featured are of different interpretations and expressions, showcasing diverse contemporary works of Filipino artists.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Make sure to explore every corner of this place. You will be amazed how these artists have come up with such unique and sometimes controversial art pieces.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I couldn’t exactly call myself art-savvy but I’m telling you, Pinto is packed with creative goodness! And the landscape that houses them couldn’t be more perfect.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pinto Art Museum is a gem. I am so glad that such a wonderful place exists in this side of the country. But it also makes me think of how we often overlook the beauty that’s just within our reach. We book expensive airline tickets just to have the time of our lives but really, we need not go too far! All we need to do is to open our eyes and explore. No passport needed!

There's no need to limit yourself to the exercise machines at the gym or at home. These fresh, sporty options help you stay fit and even meet new people. Get fit Alternative: Hiking Whats it about: For those who love exploring the putdoors (or just want to get out of the city), this activity consists of walking or trekking around natural environments. Newbies usually stick to trails, but experts prefer to discover new walkways and paths. Who should try it: If you dont like the adrenaline rush from contact spprts, this alternative offers you a relaxing, low maintenance workout. The walking helps you tone your muscles and improve your cardio, while giving you time to reflect and commune with nature. Get fit Alternative: Cycling What's it about: Whether you're using a stationary bicycle at the gym or choose to bike around the city, the end goal is the same: to boost your overall fitness and cardiovascular health. Who should try it: If you're using a stationary cycle, research shows that its best for those with arthritis and help rehabilitate knee injuries. Feeling more adventurous? Bring some buddies along to see what locales you can visit like Tagaytay, Manila or the Fort. Get fit Alternative: Marathon Whats it about: Its basically a race with a specified distance that tou can run or walk. For most runners, however, its all about being able to finish the race with an improvementon their personal time. Who should try it: Since certain marathons require you to meet a qualifying time before you can officially join, so you'll have to be serious athlete in order to train for it. Also, its very physically demanding just to finish a race, so you'll need to be disciplined and willing to put in a lot of effort.

I’m getting really bothered with my lack of blog posts lately but I do have tons of things to do on my plate, especially at work! My full time job gets more and more interesting and I’m loving every learning I’m gaining from it but sometimes, the feeling of exhaustion is inevitable that even if I plan to write a blog post for a particular week night, I will end up choosing sleep due to my tired state, both from my job and from the commute I have to do (and endure) everyday.
Before 2018 entered, I promised myself to commit to quite a lot of things, and my ultimate goal is to be consistent with my love for the analog. For the first three weeks of this year, I think I am doing a good job for this goal but I am not satisfied. My creative journal lacks consistent writing even though it contains new decorative spreads for January. Since I am usually tired from work, I can’t face my journal that well. I keep on putting the thought of filling those entries on the weekend, since it’s my day off. We’ll see. I’m still working on this disappointing attitude of mine, though.
Oh, I also have decided to dedicate one portable notebook to record my weekly life events and such. It’s always nice to practice appreciating the little things in life! Writing everything down helps me remember the moment and what I felt during those times, no matter what kind of emotion that is.
How’s January and Feb for you so far? As for me, I’m struggling but I am hanging in here.

It’s valentines season again! Whether you have a special date planned with your honey or are just hoping to catch the eye of your crush, these get gorgeous techniques will help you feel confident and look like a star.
Two weeks before V-Day
Get a haircut.Head to the salon and ask your trusted stylist to give you a quick trim to maintain up your ‘do. By the time your big daterolls around, your colf will look fresh and cute -- not heavy or blunt.
Shop for an outfit. Whether you want to wear jeans and a cute top or a sexy dress, head to the mall and try to find something that you feel comfortable and beautiful in. If you don’t need or want to buy anything new, just use your window shopping experience as an inspiration.
One week Before V-day
Retouch your roots. If you colored your hair or have afew gray strands you need to cover up, try an at home coloring kit.
Smoothen up. If you’re not a fan of lotion start slathering it on daily you’re your shoulders shoulders until your toes. Make it a habit to do it post shower so your skin can absorb it better, too.
Five days before V-day
Facial time! To score a glowing complexion (and prevent breakouts), give your face some primo pampering. Start by pouring some hot water in a large bowl and bringing the steam up to your face for a bout 5 minutes. Then use an exfoliating wash facial scrub to gently get rid of dry skin and flakes. Finish by patting a moisturizer gently, to boost circulation and get a rosy flush.
Get waxed. It’s no secret that excess body hair is a definite turn-off. To keep unwanted hair away for weeks, try zipping it off with wax. While the pain factor may be a bit higher, It’ll be worth it since the hair grows back and slower and less course.
Three days Before V-day
Deep Condition. For sleek strands that’ll be easy to style, try using a home hair treatment like Keratin Shampoo, It’ll zap frizz so your colf will look straight and smooth. Plus you’ll get the effect of rebonding without having to shell put some major cash.
Practice your makeup. To avoid major boo-boos, try playing around with the makeup look you had in mind for your date. Keep in mind that most Pinoy men don’t like it too heavy, so stick to the basics: foundation, a hint of shadow and liner, curled lashes, a light blush and pink lips.
One day before V-day
Get a Mani-Pedi. Pretty tips and toes will help shoe your date that you pay attention to details and make an extra effort to llok your best. Just make sure you do it the day before to help lessen the chance of chipping your polish.
Exfoliate. A yummy smelling slougher will help you destress and get you in mood for romance. Pro tip: Do it while your body is dry to get rid of the dry patches and score super smooth skin.
The Big Date!
Pack right. Before heading out, make sure you have all the essentials you’ll need in your purse: a powder compact, breath mints, lipstick, a fully charged phone and extra csh in case of emergencies.
Relax and smile. With all the skin, hair and makeup preparations. You’re more than ready for a great date/ evening out with your special someone. Now, it’s time to have fun and feel confident knowing you look like a goddess!

Hey I just passed my first ever Job Interview, your girl is employed now haha I’m very happy so I want to share how you can ace yours! ;)
A lot of job work experts say that first impressions count during a job interview. Your potential employers have reviewed your resume and were impressed. Now, you have to impress them more -- and ace that interview -- through a face to face interaction. Some key things to remember:
Stand Up Straight -- but not arrogantly or with angas. This is a job interview, not The Philippines’ Next top Model: You want to impress your interviewers, not intimidate or turn them off, Sloughing might give them the impression that you’re lazy and not that interested in the position.
Smile  A pleasing personality will always reel in others and draw them to you. Smile sincerely, and always be aware to wipe off any signs of frowning or scowling on your face. Plus, don’t be plastic: Interviewers know how to read people, so they can tell right off if your smile isn’t genuine.
Practice your Q & A before the actual interview. Think of it as preparing for an oral exam. Get a friend to pretend as the interviewer and toss you questions so you can rehearse your responses and how you convey them. (I did this with my boyfriend hihi) Tip: You can even use index card just like in school) to help your practice session.

Here’s bits and pieces of what ‘s happening in my life lately
I can’t say that January was a free trial month like what I’m expecting of haha, because man It’s like I’m really faced to a new and exciting world.
I’ve got few dates and a lot of catchin up that was really really fun!!!
Me and my sister are roaming around the city finding cafe’s, goin on mini shopping, and just having chikas of life and her school while going on window shopping. Haha
My boyfriend and I tried a Sambokojin buffet restaurant, I had a lot of fun grilling shrimps actually. We were on attack mode at the beginning  and I was barely breathing afterwards.
I had fun nights and some drinks, with my friends we were reunited and I just can’t stop laughing the whole night. Also I spend our CIty’s feista at my cousins house, non stop chikas the whole night, literally.
One of the highlights of my January was our Oath taking Ceremony as a newly registered Nurse, It was when I’ve received my license that “Wow Im really a nurse rn” haha It just opened doors for everything, I dont have to think were my path is leading me cause I can already see it.
I just survived my first ever job interview!!! Haha. But there’s still a FINAL interview so much luck for me!
This year I think I’ll be stepping out of my comfort zone.. I picked a job location which is a 30-45 mins drive away from my home, so I’ll be travelling and familiarizing the new environment alone. I’m just thrilled and so excited right now.
Moreover, this year starter just made me realized that..
 It’s the little things.
You might have missed feeling joyful because you were waiting for something extraordinary to happen. But to Brené, “Joy comes to us in moments – often ordinary moments. Sometimes we miss out on the bursts of joy because we’re too busy chasing down extraordinary moments.” More often than not, it’s the little things that really matter.
Having said that, here are three things I’m grateful for so far this month:
I’ve got to be there to celebrate special moments of my friends and love ones  (Ianne and Paul’s Birthday, City’s fiesta)
Once chapter of my life ended, and Ive just achieved my dream/goal. Its time for me to walk on this new chapter of my life.
Thank God, he was always there for me when I was very nervous of my first interview and this major decision in my life. I thank the love and support of my family and friends. I totally appreciate them cheering for me. The love was REAL. ♥
