What brought on this clingy mood, Steven isn’t quite sure, only that he wanted Marc’s attention and this was apparently the only thing he could come up with to guarantee immediate and complete attention from the elder alter. The fact that he stopped what he was doing to catch him, makes the Brit beam with joy, a grin lighting up his face and arms wrapping around Marc’s neck, legs locking around his waist. He’s stuck with him now.

It’s a bonus that Marc doesn’t seem to be annoyed at him either, more amused by it than anything. Good. Because he plans to bother him for a few hours and hang around him, until either one are pulled to front or Steven allows Marc to front. Shoulders shrug at the question, not entirely sure why himself. ❝ Felt like it. ❞ He brushes off, the only answer he can offer. ❝ Oi, you callin’ me fat? ❞ He asks, mocking offense and moves a hand to flick Marc’s nose. ❝ Tough luck, ain’t lettin’ go. ‘specially not now you called me fat. ❞ He states matter of factly, stubbornly playful.

he’d been quietly doing something until he heard a familiar voice, that british accent he’s paired to steven after all this time, especially while in the beginning, allowing him to live a semi normal life. but it’s different now. he doesn’t have much time to register the words spoken or more so yelled out to him, looking to the side     &.     noting how he is quite literally running at him. whatever marc was doing is stopped to a halt, reaching out     &.     catching steven with a oof. arms go to properly wrap around him, securing steven as he holds him. like this, marc has to crane his neck a little to look at him.

a small smile is adorned to his lips, eyeing the alter due to not knowing why all of a sudden he wanted to be held.     ❛     what’s this about     ?      not often you do something like this     .     ❜     it’s the truth but it doesn’t mean the mercenary is displeased, he’s more surprised than anything else. like this, it feels as though steven is a younger sibling of his, the playfulness or should he say, menacing attitude that he radiates in this moment reminds him of a younger sibling. it’s a welcome feeling, one that leaves marc feeling warm on the inside.     ❛     you know     ,     you’re a     little     heavy     .     ❜     words     &.     tone more teasing than serious.

There’s a light scoff at that, picking up the refilled drink to take a swig of it. ❝ Mm, good. ❞ Eyes lift to glance over to her, unable to help but notice she seemed to be holding back, before gaze is cast back to the glass in hand. ❝ Ask ‘em. Whatever questions you have. ❞ They aren’t together often, no doubt she has so many things to ask.
