dreams of FALLING DOWN A RABBIT HOLE, are becoming more and more vivid for ALISA LYDDLE. still just quick flashes, they should be nothing for than dreams, but they feel so real. the JOURNALIST has always been known to be + ADVENTUROUS and CREATIVE, however, at times can be -ARGUMENTATIVE and VERBOSE. usually spotted in the LIBRARY with a BABY BLUE LEATHER JACKET. but they’re hard to miss THE LONG MESSY BLONDE HAIR, THE SMELL OF FRESHLY BAKED CAKES, THE MANIC GIGGLES AS THEY TELL SILLY STORIES always have them stand out.

FAIRYTALE LIVES

Alice’s life wasn’t what she wanted. Ever since she was a little girl she craved adventure and longed to leave the life her mother had planned for her, the simple life of marriage and kids wasn’t for her. Certainly not yet when she didn’t even know herself. She had no friends cause Alice was mad as you could get for being a little over-creative and asking outlandishly curious questions. When her mother tried to ambush her with a marriage proposal she ran from the party and ended up following a peculiar rabbit that wore a waistcoat into their rabbit hole. Alice fell into Wonderland after that and never left. She stumbled around the world and its customs, met her best friend and platonic soulmate who matched her when she talked about the weirdest things, and stood by her against the Queen of Hearts. She couldn’t ask for a world better than Wonderland and for this, she would protect it and never leave it behind.

CURSED LIVES

Alisa was constantly bored in her day-to-day life. She’d lived in Ethereal Hollow her whole life and after roaming every backstreet and alley through most of her adolescence she just couldn’t find anything new in the town. She had an estranged relationship with her family and was happy to have as much space from them as possible. All her life she was told what to do and where to go and she thought she would have escaped that by now after she ran away from that life at eighteen. But still, somehow she was stuck in a vicious cycle with her editors giving her the most boring of stories and expecting her to dish out some newsworthy article. She’d rather chase tall tales and myths which she does online as a side gig for fun, but still she longs for adventure and prays that she can get out of this unfulfilled life one day. Maybe by actually investigating some news she hears around town herself for once then writing the garbage she’s forced to write about.

-Alice and her mom always fought, her father was the only one to encourage her creative side so she always favored him.

-Alice is not close with her sister as she followed the path her mother wanted and always pushed her to follow the same path. Alice favors her brother because he’s still young and not completely controlled by their mother yet.

-Alice enjoys teasing the Mad Hare, but politely pours and prepares his tea while doing it. Always dodges his throws. 

Cursed Life

-Wears floral pattern button-ups.

-Despises coffee and will judge people about their preference for coffee as well. 

-Freshly baked cookies or nothing, freshly backed anything really.

-She loves starting an argument whether for trouble or friendly debate is up in the air.

[ Theodore “Flynn” Gardner (the prince - Rapunzel), he/him, CIS male, 28 Face claim: Peter Gadiot ] Dreams of a pretty woman with yards and yards of hair are becoming more and more vivid for Flynn Gardner. Still just quick flashes, they should be nothing more than dreams, but they feel so real. The music teacher has always been known to be friendly and spontaneous, however at times can be impetuous and prone to frustration. He can often be found in the music room practicing or at his self defense classes. He is rarely without his white cane, his flute sticking out of his bag, or his seeing eye dog.

Fairy Tale Life

Prince Eugene learned to play music from his mother, but as the king’s son, his father insisted he spend his time practicing swordplay and going on quests. He didn’t mind too much, as he didn’t have nearly the responsibilities that his older brother did. But one day, his brother died, which meant Eugene would have to become king. He freaked out. He tried to do so only internally, but after months of diplomacy lessons that made him want to pluck his eyes out, he needed an escape. So, he saddled his horse and snuck out for a gallop to the countryside. He heard a woman singing, and followed the sound to a tower without stairs or door. Her beautiful voice calmed him, but also, he worried about a maiden trapped up in a tower. He laid in wait until he saw someone - the witch Gothel - yell up to the tower for the girl to let down her hair. He camped out, then waited for Gothel to leave again. Afterwards, he called for Rapunzel to let down her hair. He startled her, but in the end, she was thrilled at the idea of another person, and let down her hair for him. Up in the tower, they talked about everything. They both loved music; Rapunzel said she often relied on it to help her pass the time up in her tower. He hated to leave her, but Rapunzel felt her mother knew what was best for her. They agreed to keep each other a secret, though, and his new duties as the crown prince felt much more manageable with the promise that he could go visit his friend in the tower at the end of the week. The weeks turned into months, and eventually, Eugene was confident he was in love. He tried to persuade Rapunzel that Gothel didn’t have her best interests at heart (especially after he learned that the reason Gothel hid Rapunzel away was her magic healing hair), locking her away from the world, and eventually she began to see the truth. They decided to marry, and to break her out. But they were caught. The next time Eugene came to visit her, he was met with a chained and gagged Rapunzel and the witch’s knife in his gut. As he lay bleeding out, Rapunzel made a deal for his life, swearing herself to Gothel if she could only heal him. Eugene begged Rapunzel not to. She was the kindest person he’d ever met, and all she wanted was to be free. He couldn’t bear her giving that up for him. He tried to cut Rapunzel’s hair to stop her, but Gothel caught him. Cruelly, she had pressed her foot into his wound as she told him he would never see Rapunzel again. She would take her somewhere he’d never find her, and if by some miracle he did, she would make sure he lived to regret it. Gothel chained his arms more securely, and Rapunzel healed him. Once freed, he shakily got to his feet. He wanted to plead with Rapunzel, to hold her close, but then, suddenly, Gothel pushed at him. Whether it was Rapunzel’s magic keeping her strong or the blood loss making him weak, he tumbled from the tower window, Rapunzel screaming his name. The thorns at the bottom broke his fall and saved his life, but they also blinded him. The sound of Rapunzel screaming for him as the witch whisked her away was a frequent star in his nightmares after that. Eugene eventually found Rapunzel again, though it took a long while, with the help of his father’s knights and some magic. When she saw him, she ran to him, and they embraced. Her hair worked its magic, and he could see again. He vowed never to let anything happen to her. They returned to the kingdom and were married, and Gothel was imprisoned. She threatened them again as she was being carted off, promising she’d get her revenge. He rarely slept well after that, often waking up early or from a nightmare to go practice swordplay. He would be ready the next time they saw the witch. He wouldn’t let her hurt Rapunzel again.

Cursed Life

When Theodore woke up in this world, he woke up blind. Whether because this was a world without magic or because Gothel had wanted to punish him in particular, his magically healed eyes no longer worked. From Theo’s perspective, he was blinded due to an accident as a teenager. Around this same time, he started going by his middle name: Flynn. It was his dad’s suggestion, a type of armor to cope with the difficulty. He misses his sight, but he’s determined to get by on his own, and with the help of his seeing eye dog Oracle. His parents wanted him to live with them, but he insisted he didn’t need it. Sometimes he gets frustrated with what he can’t do, but as the years go by he’s mostly accepted it. Music comforts him, so he pursued it as a career and teaches it at the local high school. Still, he’s been plagued lately by dreams of a woman with long, long hair. Her face is desperate, and her hands are chained behind her. When he reaches for her, though, an old woman stabs him in the gut. He wakes up screaming on those nights. He feels like he needs to find her, but as she doesn’t talk in the dream and he can’t see in real life, he has no way of recognizing her if she reached out and slapped him. The dreams set him on edge. He found a self defense class at a martial arts studio that was willing to teach him (which, admittedly, was hard to find, and was a bit of an adjustment for Oracle once he had)… he’s not sure how he thinks that’ll help the woman from his dreams, but it makes him feel just a bit better when he wakes up yelling for her in the middle of the night, feeling like her name is just on the tip of his tongue.

Headcanons

Named his seeing eye dog Oracle because “she sees what I can’t.” He thinks he’s funny but very few others do.

Lives close to the school so that he can walk there, since he can’t drive

Rarely assigns written essays, though he does have a software to read them to him, he doesn’t much care for it. Besides, it’s music. He doesn’t believe in taking the fun out of music.

He’s many students’ favorite teacher because he’s friendly and has a dog. On very special occasions, he sometimes lets them pet her at the end of the period.

[ Winter Blackwood (Snow White), she/her, CIS female, 26 Face claim: Anna Popplewell ] Dreams of being poisoned or fleeing through the woods are becoming more and more vivid for Winter Blackwood. Still just quick flashes, they should be nothing more than dreams, but they feel so real. The bakery owner has always been known to be self sufficient and resourceful, however at times can be a loner or come off as brusque. She can often be spotted rolling out dough in the bakery, or sitting on her balcony with her cat. Her short black curls, confident posture, and streaks of flour on her clothes always have her standing out.

Fairy tale life

Princess Snow White had a charmed life: loving parents, a beautiful face, and a loyal kingdom. Then her mother died. Still, she was determined to be the princess her kingdom needed. Then, her father died, leaving his new wife in charge. Everything changed. Her stepmother kept her in rags, treating her like a servant. She was locked in her room during state functions and palace festivals. She was despairing, heart broken, and alone during one such state dinner when there came a knock at her door. It was her friend, a prince from a nearby kingdom, whom she jokingly called Charming [I think Charming might technically be Cinderella but I wanted to let whoever takes the prince get to name him]. Worried about her disappearance, he sought her out with the help of the palace staff, who worried for their princess. For a while, Snow had hope again. Charming, it turned out, was to have an extended stay while his parents negotiated a trade agreement with her stepmother, and he came to visit her everyday. She still had her chores, but if he found her doing those, he’d pick up a mop and get to work right next to her. They’d talk for hours. For the first time since her father’s death, Snow didn’t feel alone anymore. But then her stepmother found out. For some reason, she was irate: Snow couldn’t fathom why. The queen ranted and raved about how she was little better than a scullery maid, why should the prince even look twice at her? She locked Snow in her room and put a guard on the door. Then, the next morning, she said that they’d finalized negotiations with Charmings’ kingdom and that Snow and she would be moving to the summer palace, not allowing her to even leave a note for her friend. But Charming found her even there, though it was months later. He asked how she might feel about coming to stay with his family for a while, as it was the only way he could think to save her from her stepmother (little did Snow know, he would have asked to marry her, but didn’t want her to feel that was her only escape. She didn’t need a fiancé right now, she needed a friend… Charming thought. Snow was a hopeless romantic, and had developed quite a crush on him, however, but she couldn’t imagine it could be requited, what with her rags). She happily agreed, and he said he would suggest to her stepmother she be made an ambassador to their country, and say that his parents insisted. The next day, her step mother seemed in an usually good mood, allowing Snow to go pick flowers outside the castle with a single guard - the huntsman. And we all know what happened from there. Snow eventually fell to her stepmother’s poisoned apple, after the failed attempts of the comb and the corset stays. But then, she awoke to see Charming. Her stepmother was imprisoned with the help of other kingdoms, and Snow began to rule (appointing her 7 dwarf friends as advisors) and to continue spending time with Charming, whom she was now courting after the true love’s kiss incident caused each to realize the other returned their affection. Snow started to be happy again. And then the villains escaped.

Cursed Life

Ever since she could remember, Winter was lonely. An orphan, she had been fortunate enough to be raised by an elderly aunt, but the woman hadn’t really wanted her around or spared much thought for her. When she was young, Winter adored fairy tales and romances, sure that falling in love would make her less lonely. It never happened, but a girl could dream. Until, she couldn’t. Now grown up, Winter sees love for what it is: a fairy tale. She has no time for dating, not when someone is merely going to get her hopes up, then disappoint her and walk out of her life, leaving her lonelier than ever. She won’t admit to herself that she’s afraid of that; no, rather, she’s practical enough to see through the lies. She runs the bakery by herself, cooking cakes and pies to order and making batches of muffins, cookies, and other small pastries each day. She finds it relaxing, and takes any leftovers to either the local orphanage or homeless shelter.

Headcanons

Ever since the poisoned apple, whether in her fairy tale life or her cursed one, she has trouble staying warm, as though, having once been corpse-like, her body has trouble remembering that she’s alive and needs to be kept warm.

She serves no apple dishes in her bakery and believes she has an allergy to them.

She has been known to give children a free sweet, especially if they wander in on their own or seem sad.

She loves her cat Charming and often names pastries after him or fashions them to look like him.
