Emma Stone winning over Lily Gladstone feels similar to Anthony Hopkins winning over Chadwick Boseman.
Like did the winner deserve it? Absolutely. Those performances were phenomenal. But the person who didn’t win FELT like person who should’ve won, if that makes sense?
one thing i liked about lisa frankenstein is that when i was getting into it i expected taffy to be the mean cheerleader/evil stepsister archetype who tortures her weird goth sister but she turns out to be so nice, she's supportive of lisa, she lets her borrow her clothes, invites her to events, and she just treats her like family. its so sweet and its a refreshing take on the popular girl/pretty cheerleader trope.
Do you think when Charlie was young Lucifer would take her flying? Hold her so tightly to his chest that there was never even a possibility she would fall? Maybe that was even part of where her optimism about HELL of all places came from: how beautiful it could look from above, safe in her fathers arms.
Do you think she stands on balconies, holds her arm out to feel the wind. Her closest imitation of how it felt to soar, the closest she could get to the view that had inspired her mission in the first place? Sometimes, when she closed her eyes, did it almost feel like her fathers arms were holding her again?
When Lucifer carried her in the fight against the exorcists did she feel like a child again? Did she feel safer than she had in years?
So I’ve heard some talk about Sir Pentious going to heaven and what happens to angels and sinners when they die. I think it’s established that angelic weapons are one of the most effective ways to kill sinners and winners and that when they are killed they don’t re-manifest in hell or heaven because then what would be the point of the extermination. I think that when a being whether a sinner or winner is killed they just die like cease to exist, their soul is gone. Pentious might actually be one of the first to re-manifest ever and not just in heaven because he died in hell but because of the nature of his death he re-manifested in heaven. I don’t think Adam is gonna re-manifest in hell despite what some people believe. Lute made us pretty clear to Lilith that Adam was gone and the deal was done. The question is do sinners re-manifest as winners only after they’re killed ? We’ll have to see…
