This blog is now inactive.Ā
Itās been about a year since I first started talking about BLM and racism. Iāve learned so much and Iām continuing to learn even more. Some thoughts Iāve expressed on this blog could be outdated, so keep that in mind, please. My feelings were also very volatile, as I was dealing with depression that was worsened after George Floyd was taken from us. I apologize, I wasnāt in a good place. Iām prioritizing my happiness and Iāve been feeling much better. Iām still recovering from the PTSD I got from police brutality during protests but Iāll cope.
The carrd I provided above provides a glimpse into what Iām using to educate myself. The first link is to a gofundme to help my dear friend get top surgery. If you can, please donate to him and also any of the other links Iāve listed on the āCauses to Helpā button. I've also included some educational links under that section as well. I will continue to update the "Notes on Books I've Read" over time.
I appreciate all the friends Iāve made on here and all the comfort youāve provided me. Your kindness and support in one of the darkest years of my life, really helped. Iāve grown as a person and I hope that one day I can make palpable change. I also hope I helped at least one person in some way on here.
I truly care for all of you.Ā
Thank you,Ā
Faith :)

āAbolish the police LITERALLY means there should be no more policing.
Defund the police LITERALLY means that budgets should be cut to zero and the funds should be entirely reallocated.
People are not getting tear gassed, losing eyes, having their skulls cracked by āless lethalā rounds, and facing imprisonment so you can co-opt their demands into feel good liberal bullshit.
Do you think burning a police station is a way of saying āwe would like to see a 10% cut to their budget?ā Do you think colonized people unifying under slogans of fuck the police, acab, and fuck 12 are telling you they just want to see policing as we know it reworked?
Of course not. Face the fact that abolition is unsettling and requires the kind of systemic change that canāt be achieved through mainstream liberal politics. If you canāt get down with that then fine, youāre not an abolitionist, but stop trying to destroy the righteous momentum of the angry masses so you can lie to yourself and others about the meaning of abolition.ā

While the experiences of BIPOC are not the same, many of the problems that we face are intertwined. We must stand in solidarity as we fight for equality, safety, and justice.
Where to start:
(ACLU) racism in policing:
A history of Anti-Asian hate
Support:
Support the families of the Sikh FedEx Victims
Support the family of Daunte Wright
Verified GoFundMe list for the victims of the Atlanta spa shooting
For protesting:

Vaccines no doubt used public funds for research. This is disgusting abuse of capitalism for the poor and socialism for the rich.
