Maybe it's just me, but I felt way more second hand embarrassment in the last episode (7x04) watching Buck desperately trying to get Eddie's attention with the weightlifting and getting his basketball delivery from Amazon (which he clearly got delivered to the firehouse to make a scene of it all) than I do watching that date clip.

Like I get it, Buck is awkward on the date (Talk Valentina... ALLY✊️), BUT I probably might have skipped some of those scenes with Buck trying (and failing) to get Eddie's attention in 7x04 just because of the second hand embarrassment if I wasn't watching a livestream last week 😂

Like the second hand embarrassment was way stronger (at least for me) watching that than it is watching this beautifully awkward baby bi stumble through his first 'date with a dude'

I think the thing about Buddie is, I don't even need it to be canon (although I would love it if they do, but they have to do it right), but I just need them to acknowledge properly how important they are to each other. Even if they stay platonic best-bro partners forever, I need them to have a moment a bit like Chim and Hen had with during and after the whole Jonah thing, where they really show how important they are to each other. I feel like whenever Buddie have their bonding moments, they always feel so brushed over and never brought up again (I'm looking at you - "It's in my will if I die you become Christopher's legal guardian" Scene)

And please, just give me a buddie hug if nothing else, we haven't had one since season 3.

Some of y'all on here are so hateful ffs - like c'mon you complain when ballads get through because of juries but even when it's 100% public vote, guess what, they'll still get through because guess what:

It's a music competition so we need and say this with me now: A VARIETY OF TYPES OF MUSIC!

The thing that makes eurovision great is having loads of different types of songs and types of music and yes that includes ballads because that's a type of song!!!

Let's be real the grand final would suck if it was just 26 upbeat songs because they would all blend and be the same and you couldn't pick a winner. Stop complaining about Sweden and Switzerland when it was 100% public vote and the public was the one that voted them in the final in the first place.

I think I've finally cracked the code as to why I love Not Me and Manner of Death so much.

So a lot of it (for me at least) comes down to the fact that the primary plot for both of these shows is not based around the romance. The romantic storyline is very much aside from the main plot line.

This means that the main conflicts in the show don't tend to come from the romance and they come from the actual main story instead. So, all the annoying ass storylines that I hate with a passion - like cheating plots or severe jealousy or lack of communication all leading to unnecessary breakups - are avoided.

These types of storylines are only there to create conflict in shows where the love story is basically the only story to tell. So with shows like Not Me and MoD, the conflicts aren't just randomly put in to create spice in a story where there are no actual threats, but are as a result of a genuine plot line.

I'm not sure if this makes any sense and has probably already been said before but oh well
