Here is the thing I do not hate Olivia Wilde do I think she is a bad person and should be held accountable for some of the horrible shit she’s done and the people she has aligned herself with? yes. Do I hate that she is dating Harry no, as long as Harry is happy I don’t care with who it is, am I disappointed in him for dating someone like that YES, and because of that I would like to believe it’s a stunt to promote their future movie why? bc a) it makes sense and b) it has worked so far, the movie is in fact everywhere. As much as I want the movie to succeed for Harry’s sake and future in the film industry it has become almost impossible to ignore the red flags. First there was three trial screenings something very unusual meaning the movie had to go though mayor re editing.(Which is never a good sign) Second there have been many rumors that the movie will portray various forms of sexual assault and while there isn’t anything fundamentally wrong with that Olivia has continued to promote this as empowering. Sexual assault is NOT empowering. Third and one of the most obvious red flags Florence Pugh’s silence on this entire thing. Through all of this most cast members including Harry have continuously promoted the movie on their respective social media accounts, except for Florence who might I remind you is playing the lead role, this is unusual behavior bc through out all of this she has continued to promote every other project she has going on. (including the new puss in boots movie not relevant just thought it was funny bc she is promoting a children’s movie Instead of one who has been predicted to be in the running for future Oscar nominations.) Moving on, to the most recent red flag as if it there weren’t already enough of those, people have noticed Florence’s behavior and where there is smoke there is fire. People are trying to figure out what the drama is and while there have been many variations to the story and many “inside sources” the story’s all seem to have one thing in common and that is that Florence and Olivia do not like each other. Some say Olivia started hooking up with Harry while still in her previous relationship and that is why she doesn’t approve. (I think flo is a professional and something like that would not affect her work but who knows) others say Olivia was too focused on getting Harry to the point where Florence had to take over directing, and the most recent version I heard was; Florence is refusing to "play along" with the stunt narrative & is refusing to do press with Harry. Also Harry apparently has refused to walk the red carpet in Venice w/ Olivia & may end up cancelling his attendance too. I guess only time will tell. To sum up everything am I disappointed? yes, am I sad Harry’s first big role is going to be a shit show? Also yes.
