She couldn't believe it. Staring down at the fuzzy grey image that was little more than a dot, Rebekah blinked through the tears trickling down her cheeks. Elena’s lips touched her temple and she looked up with a wide grin as the brunette grinned back. “We're having a baby, Lena!” Her voice came out in a rough whisper and her girlfriend laughed brightly as she nodded.

“We're having a baby, Rebekah,” she repeated back and Bekah pulled her girlfriend into a kiss. Dr Havenpordt had printed out the ultrasound pictures for them twenty minutes ago, and even as they walked out of the office, it didn't feel real. She was pregnant. Her hand found her still very flat belly and she couldn't even try to keep the grin off her face, especially when Elena’s hand joined hers. She pulled Elena in for another kiss and grinned as she pulled back.

no because newborn!Elena x Klaus where she's slowly starving bc she can't keep animal blood down and the Salvatores won't let her out of the house (transition, yay)

So Klaus has an agenda like always, he sneaks (ahem, tries to) in through the back door but he makes too much noise and has to kill Stefan and Damon both to get to Elena (they come back eventually, probably, at least i hope so)

He's always been kinda soft for her so he lets her have his blood while also taking from her to keep himself strong

BOOM bond created (whoopsie 🤭)

Then they have to figure out how to deal with constantly wanting to be close to one another while also being a badass couple who pulls up and decimates everyone

“Elena.” Alaric wheezed, the stake forgotten as he clawed at his throat. “It’s Elena.”

There was no time to waste. The boy was driving her back to Mystic Falls if Damon and Elena’s parting words were believed to be true. Pocketing the stake in one hand, he began his journey back to Mystic Falls.

The younger Salvatore barely had a word out of his mouth before Elijah twisted his neck. He dove into the depths and found her drifting. She appeared deceptively in slumber, lulled to sleep by the gentle rocking of the water. He pried the door open and gently steered her to face him.

It didn't surprise him that Caroline adjusted to being a vampire just as well this time as she had last time. With him and his siblings assisting her and keeping a close eye on her, Caroline was doing just fine; better than the first time, according to Elena. He imagined not having to hide herself from everyone around her probably helped too. The Sheriff was clearly still unsettled by everything, but Klaus could tell she still cared deeply. But even so, everyone was on edge as they waited for Katerina to make another appearance. Klaus was certain Katerina had thought that turning Caroline would cause more chaos and was probably hiding in the shadows trying to figure out why it hadn't.

While they waited, Elena started gathering all of the things she would need to make the cures. Klaus had brought her the last original white oak stake when he and Elijah had taken care of Mikael, and Kol had reached out to a bunch of covens he had connections to for some of the other ingredients. He watched Kol closely, still unsure about his little brother having free rein around his very human wife, but his brother was much more interested in Caroline, curious enough. An old version of himself might have been jealous, but he was content and happy with his wife, and Klaus knew Kol would be good to Caroline. The blonde would certainly keep his brother in line, that was for sure.

Eventually, they would have to go to New Orleans, and Klaus wasn't entirely sure how he would handle his son and the chaos that was surely mounting in the city. He did know for certain though that this time he had no interest in taking the city from Marcellus. There were plenty of other places that he would be happy with, and he knew Elena would prefer somewhere quieter, at least for a while.
