Ohhhhh fuck! I forgot two very important things in my indefinite hiatus post. These are changes I will be making to Lotor when I bring him back.

He’s genderfluid now, in honor of my bigender awakening (and because genderfluid Lotor is something I’ve always wanted but never updated his bio to reflect). 

He also has BDD. This is something I’ve always had him behaving as though he has, but I’ve never officially made it canon so. Considering how insecure he was, it only makes sense that this afflicted him. So. Yeah.

Indefinite Hiatus + Moving Blogs/Reboot

Soooooo. I……kinda haven’t posted here since October. Time flies when you have no muse, huh? I bet a lot of you were wondering when you would hear from me here next. And the truth is…In terms of my VLD interest, things have been rougher than rough.

Basically, I had no motivation to come on here because I had put so much of my VLD worldbuilding into my novel. In a sense, I felt like I had moved on, that Lotor was no longer serving me. I was much more interested in developing his better self Tobias over on @cosmoscourge, and often when I logged on here to post it would be a post of Tobias. Well, after months of disinterest and indecision about what to do, I have reached a decision.

I am giving Galra/human AU Tobias his own blog on @rebelbrat and I am archiving this blog. If Lotor comes back, he will be on another blog under the same URL. It’s more than likely I’ll bring him back, because writing up Tobias’ bio on rebelbrat has given me a lot of muse for Lotor again, but it will take a while because of my concussion. I have some ideas on how to reboot Lotor and I’d love to put them on the dash, so I hope to see you on the flip side soon!

What shape does your pain take?

Glass Cage

You feel disconnected from the world around you. You can see everything, everyone can see you, but you're not really there. No one can really communicate with you, can they? You're isolated, even when you're around people you're alone.

You want desperately to be close to someone, but you're afraid of what will happen if you shatter your glass prison. You don't want to let someone in, you don't want to leave, and it's a constant battle of your own will.

It's easier to be alone, where no one can hurt you... Isn't it?

People are going to hurt you. It's a fact of life. But they're also going to give you the happiest days you'll ever have. The trick is to be confident and love yourself, to know that you're enough and that not everyone is going to appreciate that. Some puzzle pieces don't fit together, even though they may look it at first, but just that they don't go there doesn't mean that they're broken, worth less than the other pieces, or don't belong. Sometimes they might go to a whole other puzzle, but there is a puzzle where they belong and are being searched for.

Build up your self-esteem, know your worth, and prepare to take risks. Life if full of them. But if you know who you are and that you're a worthy, important person, when things go wrong it's easier to bounce back. You're the only person that you're stuck with for the rest of your life, so you should love and value yourself more than anyone else.

Take the time to get to know yourself and love yourself, and then go with the intent to get to know and love others. Not to validate yourself or prove that you're worth something. If your only intent is to get to know and love others, they'll get to know and love you in return, and even if things don't work out, you haven't failed.

When I say “good vibes only” I mean good intentions, kindness, and respect, NOT positivity.

Toxic positivity is not good vibes. It is actively harmful, bad, and stifling.

Refusing to hear negativity is not good vibes. It’s destructive, invalidating, and ignorant.

Condescension and sugarcoating is not good vibes. It’s patronizing, misleading, and manipulative.

And, most importantly, excluding the mentally ill, marginalized, angry, and otherwise “negative” is not good vibes, it’s bigotry.

That is what bad energy is to me. Not sadness, not negativity, not mental illness, but exclusion and bigotry. I will absolutely not stand for it.

So, good vibes only.

trophy hunting makes lotor fucking PISSED as it’s a huge thing in some (though not all) traditional galra cultures that you don’t kill unless you kill for food. but you know what is even worse than that to him? canned hunting. in canned hunting, you pay to basically have an animal be driven toward you so that you can get an easy shot, not even bothering to go out in the wild and hunt the animal yourself. one time he rounded up a bunch of people who participated in canned hunts, cut open a gash on each of their legs to draw the scent of predators, and left them on a death world planet. he then lifted off in his ship but kept a drone hovering around the scene, playing to him the deaths of those people as they were inevitably hunted down and killed.
