Commercial for the Energon Universe, huh? Not to mention a storyboarded one at that.
Animated commercials for comics and manga are a thing. It was actually a big part of Hasbro’s formula for success in the 80s, even after the original Transformers and GI Joe cartoons ended, showing brief animation clips demonstrating the new toys before promising readers they could catch up with the ongoing series in Marvel Comics, even if sometimes the clips weren’t very accurate to the story in the comics pages.

More recently, animated commercials have been used to get people excited about possible animated adaptations of manga. This commercial for Dungeon Meshi/Delicious in Dungeon was also animated by Studio Trigger, but was there to promote the eighth volume of the manga, four years before the anime would hit Netflix.

Even with all that Invincible and Walking Dead money, I don’t think Skybound has the cash to commission a proper 2D animated commercial by Trigger. But I can’t help but hope.
Once again, Velma exists with the sole idea of annoying people, meanwhile Netflix's live-action version of City Hunter, something that would have been seen as a disaster waiting to happen a few years ago, pretty much nailed it.
Netflix has somehow managed to brute force its way into good live-action anime adaptations, or at least competent ones. Meanwhile, Warner seems to be focusing on "Hope you hate watch!"
What's the condition when you see arguing over a game and go "Maybe when the price drops or when it's on PS Plus/Xbox Games/Whatever library"? Being older, or being stingy?
