I think also aside from the personality of the streamers being much more laid back in comparison to other popular servers there’s also the fact that you can really just jump in anywhere and start watching, like there’s no pressure to catch up on hundreds of several hour long vods

I knew a lot of mcyt content has fallen into the Mr beast-ification of YouTube but I don’t really think I ever realized just how loud, over the top, and fast-paced everything really is now until I started watching sdmp, don’t get me wrong I still love a lot of loud and fast-paced mcyt content but sdmp is weirdly relaxing in comparison, mostly due to how laid back a lot of the ccs on it are, it’s like the animal crossing of smps

I think top 10 funniest things connor would do while on the dsmp was when he’d go live with a title like “HUGE DSMP LORE STREAM” or whatever and then the stream would just be like 2 hours of him looking down on the server from the top of Eret’s tower with shaders on, dramatic music in the background, and absolutely nothing happening

ive always been wildly curious about the hermits’ discord server they use to communicate and organize. not even what they talk about (but thatd be interesting to know too), but what channels do they have? what roles? does everyone get to pick a color for their name? whats the server name? little mundane things like that
