Which all leads me to believe that Carol laid out clothes for him like a child and that is my favorite thing they have every done on this show

The episode with Rick and Carl after the prison falls is one of Carl’s biggest breakthrough moments and I hate that most people see it as him being a whiny annoying kid again.

And yes he’s mad at his dad for doing nothing to protect the prison but he also knows how bad Rick’s condition is. I don’t think he’s being mean to spite his dad, he genuinely believes that he’s not going to make it and in true Grimes fashion he doesn’t know how to express his emotions so he’s mean to Rick so maybe it won’t hurt so bad when he dies.

And this scene is almost an exact replica of the scene with Maggie telling Hershel that her and Beth will be okay if it’s his time. The only difference is he expresses grief with anger instead of sadness. Yelling that he’ll be okay if Rick dies.

And he had to prove it to himself.

Laura tells the others that she’s doing it for Max and then starts flirting with Ryan like, two scenes later so did she just feel guilty because she wanted them to go a day early??
