Wait, what if the reason Chase repeatedly faints when being flung in the catapult episode isn’t only due to fear (though that’s still part of it), but also a mix of his poor sleep schedule and not being fed enough and being scarily light to the point of Ripper and Zee being able to literally toss him into said catapult and the feeling of being flung overwhelms his senses to the point where his body just shuts down for a bit (before quickly jolting awake out of sheer panic and fainting again in a rough cycle)?

Oh yeah, he’s also light enough to where even the less physically strong contestants (Zee, Millie, etc) can pick him up with little issue. It legit freaks people out a little.

Thinking about how Chase's parents didn't feed him enough so he's likely used to not eating for long periods at a time, so he's actually pretty light as a result. Like, it's kinda scary how light he is.

Also thinking about how because of this, he's not at all picky and will eat most things served to him, given that 1. One of the Beach House Channel gimmicks is eating weird stuff and 2. He spends the first few minutes of episode 9 eating a bowl something likely made by Chef, even while Bowie and Emma are persuading Zee to join their alliance.

Bottom line, Chase's eating schedule is fucked up.

Every so often, I think about how I'll sometimes take apart even the most minor background details about a character (as in, stuff they have in/around their home) that the creators only intend as that; minor background details meant to fill in the space around the character and to not mean anything. And then I'll apply those minor details as part of analysis or headcanon (mostly for fun reasons).

Where was I going with this?

Oh yeah, my headcanon that Chase likes alligators based on his audition tape (a live one appears while he's explaining the channel and he lands on an inflatable one in his pool towards the end). Like, give him the shot and he will infodump about them.
