🔥 my hot take about the roleplaying community

Ultra tiny icons. I don't overly care for them. I get certain people have their aesthetics but your icons help me convey the emotions you're expressing in your responses and do help me reply in turn. If they're tiny and the size of a pin I cannot see them.

For people who have iconless blogs I have such a high respect for you. you're doing amazing and I hope my icons aren't overwhelming.

Here we go with the front view of my favorite sleepy man.

Yes he's missing a nipple. He burned it basically off. Because he is.....himself. He had no feeling in that part at all. Hence he was able to get a tattoo there which is ironic tattoo in my own personal opinion.

Faint Lichtenberg marks from being struck by lightning on more than one occasion.

Bite marks and various scratches from rough housing with Toothless or playing with smaller dragons.

Scar under night fury tattoo from a sword piercing through in a fight for life or death with an enemy.

There were no one else out there he'd trust more with backing him and keeping both him and his dragon safe than his little rowdy bunch.

When it came to Toothless well there was a whole different game. "Well that depends on him. Usually he is but be careful he might in a more playful mood and make you work for it." The prince was well warned as the dragon swiveled his head to look at them both. He knew he was being talked about as he continues with what he was doing.

The dragon had turned away from them as something shiny the waters had caught his eye. Slowly pawing towards the water's edge as the water splashed against his legs. He wasn't overly paying attention as the two legged and half of him exchanged the words they were saying.

Well now she certainly had his attention. Carefully edging his hands under himself he pushes himself up to sit up completely. Tussling his hair to lay it flat from where Toothless had groomed it oddly as he looked at the other. "Well frankly no I wasn't expecting you to need something..." Seemed just everyone needed something from him since he took over. Perhaps there was some sort of relief to not being needed.

"I quite honestly need the break." He'd much rather not have to do something. Besides resting for the night this was the first time since the attack from Drago he had an actual moment to himself to just sit with Toothless. Enjoy the scenery for even a little moment. Stolen as it was. He pats the ground next to him , an invitation for her to sit with him for a bit. "You alright Ruff?" He rarely saw Ruff and Tuff apart. Did they have some sort of disagreement?

           IF SHE WERE THINKING MUCH ABOUT hiccup’s presence, the gangly blonde didn’t show it.  hunched over, kicking at rocks.  on her own - an unusual sight - not even barf and belch tagging along behind swaying steps.  some SCHEME was being cooked up by tuffnut, and he had stolen their dragon away for the stretch of sun.  despite general consensus of thought from most on berk, the twins didn’t always have to be together, and ruffnut admittedly craved the time to part on occasion.

                   ultimately there was no doubt she’d give up everything for her brother, but how the moments of solace could allow her to d i s c o n n e c t for a time.  her energy wasn’t as boundless as she often played it out to be, so there was relief to come across no one who would anticipate too strongly of her behaviors.

         “no.”  blunt response, foot sending another rock skittering across the earth.  “why, you want me to need something?  i can make up a problem.  i got plenty somewhere in my head, i’m sure.”

Now it wasn't the first time his former mentor had gotten suspicious of something he had said. He did have a tendency to say some rather out pocket things. But this was something he was sure of seeing he had visited this place more than just once. He rather like slipping away to find peace with the creatures he had bonded the closest to. "I haven't hit it recently." That answer would had been different depending on the circumstances.

No this place it was very real. And it was one he was sure a nameless one eyed man would be searching for should he know of its existence. he felt it was necessary to keep it secret.

"I'm pretty sure you taught me well enough to not accept weird things from strangers no?" The dwarf did essentially raise him. He would know better than anyone what he knew what to do and what not to do. Or rather the things Hiccup shouldn't do.

But this was different. He had always suspected there might be more between the nine realms and he was indeed correct. "I haven't exactly...recently found this place either." This was going to be hard to explain. "Until now I just ended up there accidentally. You know...when I'd slip away as a kid?" When he gave Brok a near heart attack because he took his eyes off of him for longer than five minutes? Yes.

A realm hidden by deep rooted magic provided by the dragons. An old magic. They did not wish to be found but welcomed him like he had been born there. It wasn't until he was older did he find the way there every time he wished. Reaching inside of the pocket of his apron he pulls out the crystal within it. Small sure but it was from the heart of the realm he had found , been welcomed into. His voice lowered as he pressed the crystal into Brok's hands. "It's like nothing I've known before. The warmth , the magic there. It's very real. A place only a dragon can find."

Like the times before it was Toothless who brought him there. Either by instinct or some other means but he had always known the way despite them being born days apart from one another. A place where dragons came from. Or rather....returned to.

Sometimes i just randomly think about how Hiccup took on the duties of the household at a young age. Cleaning , cooking , etc. That even after becoming chief and a husband he still does these things. Such a house husband. He also does take care of the finances as well. He didn't start doing that until after he became Gobber's apprentice because he didn't understand how money worked until then. Gobber taught him that.
