At her cousin’s assurances, Jane buried her face against her shoulder, hugging her tightly.  Now that her father was gone, Pepper was the only person in the world Jane felt she could turn to. She was lucky she had somebody’s doorstep to turn up on at all. School was closed and would remain so for at least another month and the very idea of returning to her childhood home after finding her father...it was unfathomable. 

Somehow, Jane had managed to hold everything together when the paramedic’s showed up and all through giving her statement to the police. It was only when Pepper opened the door to Jane standing pathetically on the front porch did the tears begin falling like hurricane force rains. 

“I don’t want to ruin Christmas for anyone but...” There was nowhere else for her to go. Her dad’s family was nonexistent, so all she had was the Potts’ side.

“I’m sorry,” her words muffled as her face remained hidden.

I think everyone kind of wants to have that kind of ship that one feels terribly invested in. Talk headcanons late into the evening, the kind of ship that makes you start doing playlists, aesthetic posts, art, drabbles. Without feeling awkward because you are not sure whether your partner is as invested as you are. I only have one thing to say: be that kind of ship partner. If you want to shiop something, don’t be afraid to approach a mun about it, the worst they can do is say ‘nah thanks’. Don’t be afraid to show how much you love a ship, take way the stigma of being overly interested in ships and doing stuff for a pairing. Go for it, show that you are passionate about it, and you will see it can turn out great.

Jane’s eyebrows lift in surprise at Thor’s sudden declaration. A discussion of feelings had not been her plan, but now the doctor wondered why there was a ban on the topic. It seemed odd considering what the two of them had been through together.

“Is the god of Thunder afraid to discuss his feelings?”  She asked, a light tease in her tone. Jane rested her chin on her palm, waiting for his response with amusement.
