I think college era / early seasons dennis was still tender and open enough to have been in a relationship with Mac — whatever would pass as a functionalish relationship for them — but Mac wasn't ready yet. and by late seasons Mac is out and proud and openly in love and ready to commit to Dennis but Dennis's hurt at the years of rejection and dismissal are way too deep and Dennis can't get over it. So they've been in love for 25 years but there's never been a moment in time where they could get on the same page about their feelings. anyone want to drive a car into a brick wall with me

charlie is a white pikmin btw because they live in caves and are immune to poison. dee is a flying pikmin because they fly and i think she deserves to be cute and pink and frank is a rock pikmin because they are nearly indestructible and throw themselves against enemies. dennis is ofc a yellow pikmin because of the ears and they can be thrown higher than other types which i think fits with his pretty princess image. mac is a purple pikmin because theyre very strong and bulky and i think he would love being a purple pikmin. thanks for coming to my ted talk
