Hello February & Welcome back to Tuesday tips! Have you ever wondered why agents always tell you to not apply for any credit cards or move around large sums of money while being in escrow? Here’s why: * Every-time you get your credit pulled that reduces your score. That reduction in points may be the difference between a loan approval or loan denial for you. * You’d want to avoid moving around large sums of money because your lender is looking at these transactions. They will require an explanation and also want trace the funds back to its original source. * It may be a given but don’t open an new credit lines. This will directly impact your debt to income ratio which can also cause your loan to not be approved. * If you’re under escrow and considering making a large purchase or moving around funds or even if you have a doubt, ask your agent or lender first.
