PROMPTS FOR DARK TUNNELS, NARROW PASSAGEWAYS, HIDDEN DOORS, THICK JUNGLES, AND LOCKED TOMBS *  assorted dialogue for all your cliché adventuring needs, adjust as necessary, send "reverse" for the reversal of the prompt
DIALOGUE PROMPTS
look there! i think i see daylight!
we're not getting out of here alive.
help me get this door open!
we don't have time to argue! we have to move!
can you see anything on the wall?
i can't read that, but i know someone who can.
hold the light steady.
i think we made a wrong turn back there.
where do we go from here?
oh no. i'm not going first.
what if we can't find a way out in time?
the room's filling up with water!
have you ever seen anything more beautiful in your entire life?
according to the map, we should be headed in the right direction.
we should set up camp here.
is that a waterfall i hear?
let's take turns keeping watch.
do you know what we'll find in there?
i recognize this symbol!
you'll have to go ahead without me.
move! it's a trap!
the floor is moving!
there has to be another way out.
did that wall just move?
snakes. why'd it have to be snakes?
whatever you do, don't touch it.
this treasure has been lost for centuries.
maybe there's a reason nobody ever found this place.
i think we should turn back.

PROMPTS FOR FOUND FAMILIES / ADOPTED FAMILIES *  assorted dialogue, adjust as necessary, suggested by anonymous
you're the first person to ever take me seriously.
you understand me better than anyone else.
i don't know what i'd do without you.
just wanted to remind you that i care about you.
the last thing i want is to see you get hurt.
i feel like i belong here.
did you just call this a family?
this is the kind of life i always dreamed about.
thank you for taking me in.
i could get used to living in a place like this.
you feel more like family to me.
thank you for listening to me when no one else would.
should i call you mom?
should i call you dad?
i didn't really have a father figure growing up.
this is your room. you can decorate it however you'd like.
you're always welcome in my home.
no matter what, you can always count on me.
i'm grateful you found me when you did.
i've spent too much of my life alone.
you're part of this family now.
this is my home now.
i won't let anything happen to my family.
i'm going to take care of you.
no one's ever listened to me before.
is this what a family looks like?
you're the best friend i've ever had.
i'm your family now.
if they want to get to you, they have to go through me first.
is this what it feels like to belong?
maybe you should stick around for a while.
we'd take care of you, you know.
you don't have to go through this alone.
promise me you'll call.
you will always be welcome here.
this is your house, too.
i got this for you. it's yours.
keep it. i have more where that came from.
you make me feel special.
i've been alone for so many years.
i'm not used to being treated this way.
you can stay the night if you want.
we'll protect you with our lives.
you're like a brother to me.
you're like a sister to me.
you're the sibling i never had.
you took me in when no one else would.
i will never forget the sacrifices you made for me.
i've never had a room of my own. i always had to share.
i like this little family we've created.

With permission granted, Dragonsbane's body language visibly perked up and she jogged over to the sledge. With only a shift in her wings to keep her balanced, she lifted a case as if it were half its actual weight and braced it against her shoulder strut before turning to walk back towards the new stack by the entrance at a steadier pace.
Her small but dense frame had been built to hit with the force of a mech twice her size (a poor consolation prize for being built half the size of those she was meant to fight alongside). That strength was put to just as good of a use hauling around heavy cargo, and she preferred it that way, if she were being honest. She had despised the mining facility she'd once been condemned to at the end of her time with the Decepticons, but mostly because she had been confined underground. Physical work kept her servos busy and her processor from lingering on thoughts she didn't want (or wasn't ready) to deal with, and it had served her well as a coping mechanism for almost a year now.
Despite that, her thoughts still wandered to places she'd rather avoid as she carefully put down the case in its place on the stack and went back for one more. She couldn't say Nightsiren was wrong, even out of spite; Wheeljack and Carly aside, there were a few Autobots who had warmed up to her since her arrival, and all she had been doing was trying to stay out of trouble and stay busy. Bumblebee used to watch her from a distance, and now gave her a cheery 'Hi!' when they passed in the hallways. Mirage didn't sneer anymore when she asked him questions about what Cybertron was like, and while Ironhide's grumpy scowl around her hadn't changed, he'd still taken the time to help her when her liquid nitrogen tank had cracked after a failed flight had left her breathing puffs of chilly fog and she'd been too afraid to go to Ratchet.
That had to count for something, didn't it?
Dragonsbane put the second case down, still grudgingly absorbed in thought. Even the Dinobots hadn't been very friendly with her themselves until she'd survived a fight with Slag and sent them both to the medbay...though that was probably a more literal example of Nightsiren's sparring analogy than he'd intended.
"I guess you're right." The femme admitted at length. "I don't like it and it feels hopeless, but you're right. 'Just keep trying' is probably all I can do."
@bytesnbolts (cont. from this ask!)
“No!” The femme automaticaly bristled defensively from peds to wingtips. “I mean-. Maybe. I don’t know.” She grit her sharp denta in frustration. Really though, what had she been expecting, asking a loaded question like that? And of a stranger, to boot.
“I just-.” Dragonsbane huffed air through her denta. “I see everyone around me - all these Autobots - and they’re so different from me, and they’re happy, and I want to be that, too, but,” Her wings flared briefly, subconsciously emphasizing her words. “t feels like all my efforts get me nowhere.”
She didn’t want to only be stupid and destructive, but she was. The glyphs and symbols of her own internal HUD were still mostly gibberish, no matter how may times she studied the flashcards Prime had give her. She was never more at ease then when she could hit something as hard as she could and watch it shatter, but that’s what her old teammates enjoyed, too.
And she would be damned if she did anything like them.

"You know what the best way to celebrate existence is? SHENANIGANS!" Throws a snake plushy onto Dragonsbane's wing.
The femme felt something light wrap around the joint of one wing and half-turned her head, worried it had caught on something but loath to stop reading whatever was on her datapad before the sentence ended. After half a second however, her processor clocked the giant serpent coiled around her limb, and she let out a startled squawk as leapt back.
Or, tried to leap back, at least.
Dragonsbane had never been accused of being a coordinated femme on her peds, and she wasn't about to start today; in her scramble to get away from a perceived threat, she tripped over her own heavy peds and went down on her aft in a flailing of limbs. The snake plushie was thrown up into the air in the process, and fell back down over her shoulder struts, prompting another shriek.
"GET IT OFF GE-...oh wait." All panic ceased as she finally registered the glassy plastic safety eyes and short, fuzzy 'scales', and Dragonsbane sat up with the toy still draped around her helm fins. "Alright,” She demanded with her best totally-not-smiling frown. “Who's the wise mech?"

How would Offshore react if a whale was flirting with him?
Flattery first, and then a deep sadness.
He knows he's changed (and been changed) too much to fit back into the world the way he did before, and finding a member of his previous species who still treats him as a desirable member of their community even after he became so viscerally Different from them would be both heartwarming and soul-crushing.

The altercation that put Dragonsbane on the Dinobots' collective radar was a chance meeting in the hallways of the Ark, where Slag didn't see her coming around the corner (as she's barely half his height) and tripped over her (as she's also very heavy and hard to knock over).
Slag grabbed her by a wing out of anger, and Dragonsbane grabbed his other servo and bit down /hard/ (in self defense, she would later argue). Despite his best efforts, Slag was unable to shake/pull/knock her off, and they were only separated when the commotion drew enough attention and summoned Prowl and Swoop to break up the 'fight'.
Slag ended up with a nasty bite mark on his servo and a few dents in his chestplate and hips from where Dragonsbane kicked him, and Dragonsbane ended up with a broken optic, a dislocated jaw hinge, and most of her sharp corners bent or flattened.

“Hey, jump on. There’s something I want to show you.”
“It’s true. I stole your penis. But, you can have it back.”
“You were in hospital. Are you alright? What happened?”
“Tough shit. I don’t drink with people who break into ___.”
“You do that and I swear you won’t see me for another year.”
“Sometimes you can’t tell what happened unless you know why.”
“You know, not only are you just not my type… you are not anybody’s type.”
“Just because you don’t like the answers doesn’t mean you get special privileges.”

Lucifer — Season 1, ep. 6 : Favorite Son   {Sentence Starters}
“Define ‘illegal’.”
“Ooh, I love role-play.“
“You are his fallen angel.”
“Humans are so exhausting.”
“I’m completely unbecoming.“
“Well, I’m a walking paradox.”
“We need to force it out of him.”
“He shunned me. He vilified me.“
“When angels fall, they also… rise.“
“Aren’t we being a touch dramatic?”
“So, did it work? You two have sex?”
“Have I done something to offend you?“
“I thought you said lying was a bad thing.”
“I need your help like I need a third boob.“
“Hey, look, I’ve told you everything I know.”
“I guess it’s not that important to me after all.”
“I have never lied to you. I will never lie to you.”
“All you have to do is embrace all that you are.“
“Can you even begin to fathom what it was like?“
“Yes, but who are you trying so hard to become?“
“You like being considered a criminal, don’t you?”
“But why are we leaving? He’s hiding something.”
“This is about honesty and personal responsibility.”
“That was incredible. It was musical, poetic, really.“
“I know so much about it, it’s almost as if I was there.“
“Or maybe I’m just realizing what a waste of time this is.”
“I have never made any one of them do anything. Never.“
“I mean, why do they blame me for all their little failings?”
“Or maybe my simplicity offers me a different perspective.”
“And yet you keep trying on many hats to hide your horns.”
“For the first time, I don’t think you’re being honest with me.”
“This is the longest I’ve sat in a parked car and not had sex.”
“One of the hardest things we ever do is learn to be ourselves.”
“I’m telling you everything you need to know to help find my stuff.”
“Asking the obvious here, but was your stuff illegal contraband, too?“
“No, you were a victim of a crime. It’s only natural that you would feel violated.”
“Getting murdered is probably the most exciting thing that ever happened to him.“
“Wait. Don’t say a word. I knew it was a mistake the minute it came out of my mouth.”
“You can’t enjoy this… This sitting around endlessly, waiting for something to happen.”
“What made you think you’d get away with it? If you come clean now, I’ll go easy on you.”
“This loss brings up an issue that we’ve been skirting since we began our work together.“
“You can’t just smash two people together like Barbies, and think that that’s gonna fix things.”
“Let’s pretend, for one second, that you’re someone else. Someone nice, someone mature.“
